It's the same with all romances, unfortunately. This is why there is a demand for romance DLCs. IMO the perfect topic for a DLC. Too bad it probably won't happen.
But the loyalty mission is really good, that's something at least, and it does establish a connection between Miranda and Shepard.

The camera angles...good God, the camera angles. I happen to think she's beautiful (her eyes, especially. It's very hard not to wax rhapsodic when describing those eyes), but it occasionally feels exploitative. I kind of wish we could have Shep say "Yes, you're hot. That's not why I like you. Do you know how many beautiful women have thrown themselves at me? And yet, I want you. Just you."

@Ieldra2: I'm all for a romance DLC, however, I do realize that because they would need to get in touch with the VA cast (at least some of them) the chances of getting such a DLC are really really slim..the thought of having some exclusive Shep&Miri missions or new dialogs and interactions (I was thinking something akin to Sarah Walker and Chuck both on- and off-duty would be veeeery enticing..to say the least

Hmm. Must I now replay ME2 yet again with an eye for scenes with Miranda holding the Locust? I guess there have been worse reasons to replay a game, but the big question is: can I make another good-looking maleShep with ME1's character creator? For there will be no ME2 game without an ME1 game....

I would appreciate a straightforward answer, don't feel like digging through the remaining 1494 pages of this thread just to figure that out (Miranda fan or not I just ain't got the time to do that)

I would like to give one, but I don't know. I never do that - if I'm with one LI, then I'm with that one. Mostly Miranda. Eh....exclusively Miranda in my maleShep games so far.

But perhaps gutty47 has something in his virtual dialogue tree. (....looks....) No. Nothing. Sorry. I also can't remember this being a topic anywhere in this thread, and I've been here since page 70 or so of the first thread (closed down at 316 pages).

I sure understand the dillema in my current playthrough I'm aiming for a more Paragon Shep, but the kiss during the diaolg was totally worth the few renegade points

thanks a lot...as far as I remeber there was sort of a confrontation in ME when you flirted with both Liara and Ash (in case of male Shep), it wasn't much but right now I'd be glad to get any kind of new, or previously unused dialog option

Well....a rarely used one is the one where you decide to postpone any romantic involvement until the mission is done. It's a nice one, but you won't get the love scene, then, and AFAIK nothing happens after the mission as well.

As for romance conflicts: yes, ME1 had them, but I don't know if there are any in ME2.

I don't believe anything happens. More's the pity.

I wish romances were tied to an approval mechanic, like in DA. Miranda usually ends up telling me she'll be by when things are quiet for about half the game. Considering all the planet scanning I'm doing, you'd think that would qualify. I just don't like the whole "let's consummate the relationship right before we die" trope anyway.

She could have told Shepard that "if things are quiet" actually means "if the entire crew is abducted by aliens" beforehand tbh.

It's an interesting difference.  Liara and Ashely call you out on it together, but the other characters do it individually.  Tali says that she doesn't want to share you, and if you back off she says "keep it honest, it's a small ship."  Jack brings it up too, I don't remember how but you actually get a lot of different options for how to respond when she mentions it.  I can imagine Jack would be unhappy if you were also hitting on Miri.

i finally got the CE for pc, so i will be playing it all again, shortly... and taking my own screenshots! at last!!

btw your own pics reminded me how much improved the shadows are in mass effect 2 - much better and the lighting is suitably much harsher.

Good! Perhaps we'll see some new ones then. The good ones from cutscenes and conversations may be pretty much covered, but there are few in-game scenes where I gave up because I couldn't position Miranda correctly. Ah...I recall the pose mods for Oblivion, they made for some truly impressive screenshots. Too bad we can't have that for ME2.

There's also one from the engine room scene I like (yes, I like something about that scene) of Miranda sitting on the console while Shep kisses her. Actually, I'm beginning not to hate that scene in general.
