Wait, I thought you said TIM is a womanizer. I agree Jacob is.

Considering how Jacob talks to FemShep I'm not surprised if they separated (if they were ever really together). Miranda helping Jacob out with his father may be the fulfillment of her promise as aforementioned. Other than that they don't seem to like each other that way anymore, at least on Miranda's side.

I agree.

In the end I think it just came down to irreconcilable differences between them. Plus I bet Jacob becoming her underling changed their relationship significantly. The business side of her probably took over.

Jacob is a womanizer? That...does not make sense.

If Jacob wants Miranda I'm gonna have to have Shepard go renegade on him.

I think it would be cool if Miri took off on shore leaves, along with everyone else, and you could just call them for missions or certain dialogues. That way it would mostly just be you walking around, but on hub worlds you could see them hanging out or run into them in certain places. Say you go to Illium, you could go toEternity and then call up Miri on her cell and share a drink or something. This is what I would like.

Sooo Mass Effect GTA IV?

If they can make it work, I say they should go for it. My non-Shep preferred pairings for Miranda are Kaidan and Thane (don't ask). It's not like Shep's the only guy in the world she could be happy with.

Kaidan's...ok. Thane I don't understand too much.

Vyn: I don't know where it came from. Just popped into my head one day and wouldn't leave. Crack pairings are like that.

Can't see TIM hooking up with Miri, myself - wouldn't work from either character's perspective. I suspect TIM is the type of man with a conscious preference for... erm... "ladies of negotiable virtue", as Pratchett would say. He loves power too much to give it away with emotional entanglements. Sex as a transaction would be simpler, cleaner, and altogether more his style. Furthermore, Miranda's respect is probably more valuable to him than her body.

From the other end of things, Miri pretty obviously prefers to keep her business and personal lives separate (not that she's been terribly successful at it, but there you go). I think she actually would've slept with TIM if he'd demanded it, if only for her sister's sake, but as stated above I believe her respect is more valuable to him than her body, so he wouldn't have put her in that position.

So, womanizer or no, Miri/TIM is very much a nonstarter.

Oh. True.

Does this mean you're going to write a Miranda/Thane fic? ^_^

Oh, man, the Sens getting pwned 6.3...? Le sigh.

@MA: Well, TIM is a womanizer. Says so in Ascension and I think some devs did too.

He totally strikes me as the type who'd take advantage or coerce a subordinate in a one-time thing, lol. Never caring or having anything resembling an actual  relationship, but most certainly not a eunuch because of his "calling". Come on.

@Darth: I remember when Shepard questions Jacob about Miranda he says something along the lines or "If I knew that, I'd either be with her or dead". Don't know if there's any dialogue for a fem Shep

I *do* remember that part now that you mention it.

Still, I've alas seen creeps who wouldn't let go. Jacob doesn't strike me as the type. He'd eventually accept that it's over whether he liked it or not. Wait, he does just that.

Never say never. I've got a bunch of ideas though, including the one I'm working on now. Very adult, in more than one way. Not finding what I want to read, so I'm writing it. Trying to do Miranda/Sole Survivor in a way that makes sense to me.

How's that going along anyway?

I did read what you've written so far a couple of days back.

Too bad Miranda had to take the blunt of it, but it was rather satisfying to see a Cerberus-hating Shep focusing on anger rather than melodrama.

TIM would probably do that. He would remind them that it wouldn't advance their position in Cerberus.

Yeah, Jacob's not creepy just...pitiful.

I couldn't see TIM has committing. He may have had many women due to his wealth and standing. I don't know if he'd go so far as coercing women to sleep with him, he doesn't seem that type. And that would go against the womanizer part, force isn't seduction.

Woah.  Red Wings went from a 1-0 lead to 3-0 in one minute.  Go Zetterberg.

Strangely enough, I think his power set his more pitiful than his actual persona.

I kinda like the guy, but not giving a rapid-firing to a SOLDIER was like the devs wanted us to leave him in the armory for the whole game. No wonder he got harsher with just about everyone during the briefing scenes.

Not really.
Basically, rather than wandering after you while you buy fish at memories of Illium they go off and do their own stuff.  Sometimes you could spot them doing something like any NPC (i.e. the Volus day trader), for instance you could spot Tali talking with another quarian.  Outside of combat missions and some loyalty interactions, there's no need for to have them trailing after you the whole time.
Instead of the points of interest that say "talk to X", you could have a point that says "call X", or if you find a character somewhere you could maybe talk to them.

There's currently a lack of dialogue in the game imo.  I'd love for there there to be some more character interaction!  A great way to spur further dialogue is to have both characters interact based on the setting.  It would be a great change from the typical spots in the Normandy where conversations have to take place.  So everytime you go out, the two characters you took with you would be somewhere doing something.  Just like they have a place on the Normandy, they would have a place on the planet.

This would be a great way to spur more interactions with the LIs.  In ME1, LI Ashely makes a comment about dancing for Shepard in a bar on the citadel.  That was good, this would be better.

I rather meant psychological warfare and veiled threats, lol.

Think of it as pulling a psychological Deathstalker.  Major bonus points if anyone gets the reference.

That storiy's done. Shep was borderline abusive. I'm starting from scratch with a new Shep.

I really don't think Jacob can handle Miranda. Honestly. At heart he really is just a normal guy - I don't think he's got the caliber it takes for this sort of thing.

Gotta admit, I really *hoped* this was the worst he would ever dish out, lol.  It *was* intense.

Oh well, good luck with the new Shep.  As long as he's not hip, lol.

I tend to view Jacob and Miranda as a closed book. In his romance at first he acts like he's being sexually harassed (kind of is), and then all those horrible phrases...
