Almost died from blood loss via a cut artery but I got to the hospital in time (I rolled a 20 and made a save obviously). I was in hospital for a few days... they were concerned about internal injuries (I've got none). Doctors said I was lucky.

I came home late Monday and I've been resting since then. I now have enough energy to sit at the computer and think.

@ jtav: Heh. Sorry; didn't mean to put you on the spot - it was cumulative frustration from my last few posts, not that one in particular. Glad to see that my admittedly underhanded "Yvonne in a Leia bikini" tactic worked, though! And I don't entirely disagree with your assessment of Miranda's current priorities; it's the word "always" I take issue with.

Oh wow man.  Wow.  So glad you are recovering and are ok...wow you got hit by a car and will suffer no permanent damage.  You are one lucky man.

Vyn, yea lawsuits and liability is a US thing I'm half Dutch and have relatives in the Netherlands and they always make jokes at how lawsuit crazy we are.... but yea if this happened in the states the lawsuit would been official before he left the hospital.

Hi Everybody! An off topic question did anyone find a teammate completely useless? Me, personally found Thane useless now he's fanservice.I can't find a use for him I mean why have two snipers?

There are three snipers and all of them are pretty good to have along.

Thane has Warp which is one of the best abilities.  I prefer Garrus as the sniper simply because his Overload is almost as good as he has an assault rife which I generally prefer over SMGs but they are basically interchangeable.

I never really found Tali all that great, AI hacking against anybody but the places there are lots of Geth is pretty useless.  The combat drones are OK but then shotguns+pistols is the worst weapon combo IMO.

I felt that Tali was the most useless. Same goes for Legion. If these abilities were in ME1 then it would have been awsome as you were fighting geth all the time, but in ME2 they were like 2nd hand toilet paper! Thane is my favourite versus Collectors as I use Garrus as a squad commander in the SM.

Regarding the Jack and Miranda fight...  I can see why Miranda got defensive.  She's clearly got to be wondering whether or not Jack is about to try and murder her, and that would be a tough fight for her to try and win.  In that situation I can excuse her for saying that it was "clearly a mistake." 

I also consider Miri to be desperate to hold on to the illusion that Cerberus is a good organization with some bad eggs, because she doesn't know what she would do otherwise.  Ultimately she still wants to be a good person.

(Which is why we need a Miri-centric expansion pack in which she takes down Cerberus.)

The only squad mate that struck me as useless was Jacob. Combat Drone, by the way, is very useful to draw enemies away, and has saved my Shepard plenty of times. Your mileage will very though. On the opposite side, Jacob has no offensive powers, unless you call pull offensive, but even then that only works if the enemy's shields and barriers are done (and maybe their armor too, can't remember).



What I dislike about the Miranda/Jack fight is that I couldn't solve it without siding because of the stupid paragon renegade system.

Just saw Miri's death (post bossfight) on youtube...  So depressing.  That's the first time I've seen her die.  Shepard see's her put her arm up for help, rushes over to her, and then she's just gone or in the process of dying?  Ugh. 

When I saw that I thought "Carry her, she can be saved!"

(When I watched the video a comment said "I hate the actress who plays Miranda." How can you hate YS?)

I was lucky, I did Jack's loyalty mission late in the game, and had already achieved 100% Paragon.  I'm doing a Renegade playthrough now and I'm trying for the same thing (100% Renegade) before I get to the fight.

I found Jacob pretty weak too.  Not a fan.

Combat drone to me is a way to make Tali seem average, but it doesn't make her fantastic.  When being swarmed by Husk's, it's much better to have some AoEs or slam (quick cooldown) to take down mobs, and that's really the only time I've thought "golly I'm glad that there's a combat drone here."   Otherwise I'll just use Grunt to soak up damage and provide a distraction.  Half the time I'm not controlling him he just decides to jump out of cover and stand there anyway.

I don't use squad mates on the basis of their skill. Game's far too easy, IMO, for me to concern myself about that.

P.S. I don't know how people can watch videos of their favorite characters dying.

You make a good point.  It's great to see the unique dialogue come out of playing with different players.  Although there are a few moments where I will pick squad members whose power will come in handy in a fight (Hi Praetorian!)
