Last chance for Miranda: vote Garrus out.

There seem to be many people who desperately want to see Miranda gone in that game. For all that it's stupid, it amuses me to throw a wrench into their evil plots as far as I can.

And here I thought you didn't care about polls. :P

But admittedly I also wouldn't mind seeing Kaidan win at the end, if only for the astonished gasps caused by such a result.

Wow. Theres been 30 votes against Miranda in the last hour or so.

I find it funny that people think us Miranda fans are organised and numerous enough to out vote everyone else. Too many are discounting the obvious strategic voting thats going on to keep the darkhorses alive.

Maviarab said that, not I. I even analysed the results of XX55XX's character poll using a statistics program because it was somewhat representative, and I would very much appreciate a professionally made poll by which we could come to know how many people *really* like which characters. None of the existing ones meet the criteria, though.

That survivor game is set up to collect haters, though, not fans. Which I dislike - thus I make a little effort to twist the results. Also Miranda went from 255 to 290 votes in 10 minutes, which makes me suspect that there are people who register multiple times just to have her gone. That this behaviour exists has been confirmed somewhere else, so it's really an evil plot. :P

Ah, okay, you got me. I guess I got you both confused in my head, hehe. I agree that it's probably people with multiple accounts, especially at this time of the day when the biggest percentage of the boards are sleeping. It just doesn't add up.

Keep the darkhorses alive? What are darkhorses?

And yes, it's funny. But we do have the second biggest character fan group, so it's not surprising after Tali's early departure - which surprised me quite lot, btw, even though the game collects haters and Tali has many.

Darkhorse - Someone who many would say would not win but somehow does (usually through sheer luck). I mean how come Thane hasn't been killed off? Its not likes hes going to live much longer past the rescue anyway.

Strategic voting is alive and well considering that Garrus went from practically 0% to almost being voted out at the moment. Theres no explanation other than to kill off a popular character to try and save the less popular ones later on.

As you said... its a haters poll and you don't need to own any games to vote so its easy to votebomb the poll and save your character.

Thane is popular. His fans aren't as vocal as we are, but look at the size of his fan group. I'm not surprised. I'm more surprised Kaidan's still alive. I wouldn't mind seeing him win that game, really, even though I'm not a fan, just to see people's faces when he does.

Jacob is very good. Squad Incendiary Ammo is great against armored enemies, and he works well with Miranda for  warp explosions. I don't get why people find him useless - I've played  almost a whole game with him and Miranda in my squad (excepting mainly  the loyalty missions).

Miranda and Jacob is a good squad, but mostly because Miranda can take out barriers, shield and detonate foes.
But then again, Pull Field isn't much a variable in any fight that doesn't involve rushing husks.
Jacob is good if you play a  wimpy Shep. Otherwise, the dreadful ammo bug and the poor weapon selection
are just plain annoying.
Incendiary ammo is good against armor, not great. That being said, it's a good talent to max first for Jacob if
your imported Shep wants to max other ammo or CCpowers first before Horizon.
The one good thing is that you can unlock Barrier rather fast, but, really, who maxes this first?

andysilv87 wrote...

Lol! That was great.

That second screenshot just *screamed* Guy Talk and Shep getting irritated real fast.

Damnedest thing is, it was pretty damn tough to get two good screenshots during that scene. Miranda either would close her eyes or make these sort of.... emotional faces, lol.

The important distinction: she said "You were a mistake.", in a way that implied Jack's something like a failed experiment. If she meant "It was a mistake to bring you", that would be OK, I'd even agree with her to a point, but the way she said it was meant to hurt. It's the only time I've heard her say something deliberately hurtful.

I thought she was getting at that the horrible experiments done to her were a mistake.  As in it was supposed to have been done differently but it was a rogue Cerberus group blah blah.

It simply makes no sense for Jack to have been a "failed" experiment considering Miranda's position from the beginning was that the ENTIRE project was a Cerberus effort that went wrong almost immediately.

What I dislike about the Miranda/Jack fight is that I couldn't solve it without siding because of the stupid paragon renegade system.

I have never failed it.

But I always max out my class skill first.  That makes all Paragon/Renegade parts cake.

Difficulty is based on level. Some folks get screwed over because they assume it'll be easier if they delay the confrontation.

An imported Shep with max Paragon/Renegadeand the 70% bonus can pull it just fine right after investigating the abandoned Collector Ship.

And yes, this is me saying I actually did Loyalty missions in the order in which I got them. For the first batch anyway.

Yeah you get the Miranda/Jack loyalty missions pretty early on.  They are among the first ones I do.

Hehe.

I do all the recruitment/loyalty missions and a few N7s as they come up and then finish exploring and doing all the N7 missions and just pretend that at that point I hear about the derelict Reaper.

I did Zaeed and Kasumi's loyalty missions right from the get go in my speed playthrough. Totally game-breaking in Kasumi's case. Slightly different for Zaeed since I doubt anyone ever bothered with his Disruptor Ammo, but oh well.

I'll wait until Horizon next time.
