If that is being a feminist then I guess I am a feminist. I guess I always thought feminist ideology was a more complex thing that involved reshaping all of society around some sort of new paradigm than simply respecting women as equally as valuable as men.

That would be the old school extremists. Something about an amazon revolution. Oh, and referring to women who love to wear make-up and heels as traitors.

I've heard people seriously argue she's incompetent and got her job by sleeping with TIM.I've seen people--on the oldthread--say she'd be to busy having sex with Shep to work. Excuse me while I throw up.
Insane fantasies not worth considering.

It is always hard to tell which of thoughts like those are caricatures and which ones are accurate.

Tea or coffee? Which do you think is her preferred drink and why?

I'll be the first to admit I indulged in hyperbole, but the premise isn't off by much on the latter. There *is* a reason the movement shot itself in the foot. The younger milder feminists felt totally disfranchised from their older more... *involved* counterparts.Valmy wrote...

What do you call such a person? One with a natural sense for fairness, I'd say.jtav wrote...

Ah, and I've known a few extremists and read some of their books. I've actually heard one say - in an ironic turnaround of classic religious misogynism - that men are more likely to be evil than women. Some of that stuff is worth reading, though, if you can compartmentalize things enough.

Hyperactive/bouncing off the walls sort of thing you mean Ieldra? Yeah, I can believe that.
Personally, I vote for tea. Putting the kettle on and having a cuppa solves a lot of problems.

Shep would probably nag her into not killing the traitorous SOB who didn't refill the thing after taking the last cup.

I'm actually sitting in front of my screen now, sipping tea and contemplating the success of my....ok, perhaps I'd better not mention that.
