Yes, Miranda really isn't tactful.

It is her biggest weakness.  Her impatience with Wilson's errors was one of big reasons he betrayed Cerberus.  It is why she does not command the sort of loyalty Shepard does.

Plus Wilson was a greedy basterd. Big reason why he betrayed Cerberus.

Also Miri said she is onvolved with Cerberus operations that that damanding and dangeorus, well it's safe to say that those operations where succesful, seeing as Miri is stil alive and is still being put in charge of big operations (like the Lazarus operation)

She commands respect and a bit of fear.  Everybody knows she is extremely competent and doesn't tolerate nonsense.

It seems like he was upset Miranda never gave him the respect he felt like he deserved also.

But yeah he also thought he was being underpaid by TIM.

Yup, but she still is a good leader, not as good as Shepard or even Garrus, but still a very good leader.

I still wonder what Miri would have thought if she heard that Wilson log calling her a cold-hearted bi*ch. They where not ecrytpeted =]

She is great, but she just doesn't command loyalty.  People do what she says because they respect her talents.

Yes, she inspires respect. Never love. Never loyalty. She's very good at figuring out what needs to be done and why, but she completely lacks charisma.

Was it at least a better class of argument than what we usually get?

I still think what she says about Shepard took alot of guts to say. For someone like her to aknowlage someone who is better then her was very touching.

They are different kind of leaders.
Shepard for a military squad (even a bigger unit) or a commando raid.
Miranda for a science team or a spy operation.

Shepard is a commander, Miranda a coordinator.

Shepard is a master tactian. The one thing he lacks is subtle, which Miri excels at. Shepard, Miri and Garrus as a team would be very dangerous.

Shepard has tactical ability? He's not a moron, but most of the cunning plans are the work of others.

Not in my game, I made the decision to use the vents, the biotic bubble, to send someone back with the crew and to have people hold the line.

Shepard is advertised as a master tachtian. Each service origin is the reason why he was picked as a Specter, he also became a Specter and is the reason why Narraza was defeated. Plus he has messed around with alot of alien artifects and he was even called the best humanity has to offer, the only thing he lacks is being subtle.

The problem with assigning strengths and weaknesses to Shep is really he has whatever strengths and weaknesses the player decides he has....which is usually strong at everything and weak at nothing Image IPB

I mean besides commanding the loyalty of those around him.  That is rather canonical.

Pretty much this, in some games, Shepard can be a total moron with zero talking skills and in some games he is very smart, great at tactics and other stuff.

Seconded. Shep leads the charge.  Plain and simple.

Odds are he/she has a tactical gift for combat once things get going, but not for the actual planning.

You wouldn't see Shep in a CIC staring at maps for hours.  You drop him/her in a tight spot and his/her skills kick in big time.

Unless you want to completely ignore the character template suggested by default or promo Shep and play with a sneaky engineer/infiltrator or something.  You know what, make that anything but a Soldier or a Vanguard, lol.

On a completely related note, God is it sweet to hand in all term papers even if they're due next week and to *not* have any finals left.

I'll actually have time to go on a guys' night out and watch Red Cliff this weekend.

*raises hand* I play adepts and infiltrators. Default Shep's nothing to me. My Shep's a pretty pure paragon. He isn't even named John. And he has hair.

I guess I also interpreted that line differently.  I thought she was saying that what the rogue people did to Jack was a mistake, not something Cerberus intended.  How is that calculated to hurt?  I think saying it wasn't a mistake and what happened to Jack was something she deserved would be worse.  I thought she was being defensive rather than trying to tell Jack her entire life was a mistake or something.

No, Miranda was being a total b**** on this one and saying that Jack was the mistake. In which *exact* capacity we'll never know, but there's no way it could be anywhere near civil.  Paragon Shep did *not* approve even though he wussed out of pissing off either, lol.

So was Jack, in fact Jack was more of a bi*ch then Miri, Miri was very calm, until she made that stupid comment.
