I don't think that Miranda actually believes that the child experimentation thing was actually part of Cerberus rather than a rogue cell. I took the "you were a mistake thing" as taunting and insulting Jack because it sounds like she's saying that Cerberus did it and they made a mistake keeping her alive. In this fight I would have loved being able to settle it without losing someone's loyalty but the damn paragon/renegade system never allowed me to :(

I did. Apparently I wasn't paragon or renegade enough.

Sometimes I wonder why I haven't been run out if the thread. Did you guys have fun at least? I have now exhausted my "legitimate reasons to dislike Miranda" list.

Why? I love Miri, but she does have flaws and it's good to have debates. It keeps the thread intresting. Long as you like Miri and you are not a hater but have issues it's fine by me. I have some issues with her, just like every other character, all characters have flaws.

The sad thing? She's probably the most ethical project lead Cerberus has, and her moral compass still doesn't point quite north. She is not what's normally meant by a good person. What she is is fiercely loyal to those she loves, capable of great generosity and affection. But she is also ruthless, with very few things she won't do in pursuit of her goals if she thinks it's the most efficient way.

Okay, that came off a bit harsh. I have a complex relationship with Miranda.

I'm curious if this is why she doesn't like herself though.  If she knows that Cerberus messed her up.  She is fiercly protective of Oriana's normalcy, and I sort of see that as her way of protecting the one thing that she knows she did that was "good."

Miri wants Oriana to have a normal life, not a life that her father weas going to give her (which pretty much means Miris life) Yvonne even said in an interview that Miranda is a bitter character because of her past.

I still love Miri <3:wizard:

Possibly. I don't think she sees it as Cerberus messing her up as much as seeing herself as someone willing to do what must be done for the greater good. She knows this "taints" her in a way. She'd be a corrupting influence on the "pure" Oriana.

Oriana says it great. I had a guardian angel all those years. Miri made sure she was safe, also Jtav did't we also talk about this awhile back where Miri also kinda acted like a mother to Oriana when she was a baby? Miri loves Oriana alot, enogh that she wants her to have a good life.

Yep.  Talking about Miranda is always fun, besides we need to be able to address the unsavory parts of her.

She puts them on her belt.  The pistol on one side and the SMG on the other.  Look at her when she is out on a mission. Image IPB

Would it surprise anyone at this point if I said I initially thought Miranda was going to turn on you?

And I still desperately want her to end this trilogy happy and at peace with herself, surrounded by those that love her.

Would't dare say that in the Talis thread, I would get eaten alive in there :pinched:

No, not really. I was there when we were discussing her flaws and people pretty much just said that Tali had flaws but nothing that made her a bad character or bad person.

you must have come at a bad time, because the one I witnessed had no flaming involved. The thread is better when most people are sleeping. *shrug*

Tali has her flaws too. They all do. Perfection is boring.

Collider, I finally worked up the nerve to post in the Tali thread. I survived, though I'm pretty sure I got funny looks.

No, I suspected the same thing before I played the game, then I realized it would be stupid if she betrayed you.

Probably and should go this route, at least if you romance her.

Indeed. fanfiction is full of Mary Sues which make me want to vomit.

The thread is usually better ~11 P.M. PST, so if you want to go back and discuss Tali's flaws or anything, you should consider that time. I also have a group in my signature if you want to discuss Tali, too. Your choice though. At any rate, I'd like to see you post more in the character discussion group headed by nightwriter, if you have the desire to.

The group is better IMO then the thread. The whole morrinig war and Geth thing was a flame war in the thread, but in the group it's not.
