Would it surprise anyone at this point if I said I initially thought Miranda was going to turn on you?

And I still desperately want her to end this trilogy happy and at peace with herself, surrounded by those that love her.

I thoguht she was too if she was not loyal, but Bioware just got lazy and decided to uset he same dialog for her if shes loyal as she dies anyways.

I don't think that's lazy.  To me Miranda seemed like the quintessential "I'm under your command, and that's that" sort of person.  Renegade Shep gets all power trippy on her in the beginning, and I get the impression from their interaction that she has no intention of betraying you.

The SM dialogue makes sense to me, after all, she's not defined by Shep right?  By herself, without loyalty, she can come to the conclusion that TIM is wrong about the Collector Ship.

I am so ridiculously schizophrenic towards Miranda that it's not even funny. I can post all the negative stuff I just did and believe it, but still have my imaginary epilogue where she drops to her knees to embrace her three-year-old daughter and whisper "Mommy's home." Somebody explain that one to me.

I like other characters, but Miranda's the only one who's consumed my brain. I have one interesting thought about Tali, but I flatter myself that I've had dozens about Miranda.

Thats what I like about Miri, there is just so much you can think about her since her past is so unexplored, plus her flaws make intresting debates. Ah what would we do with out you Jtav?

What would you do without me? Probably post many great Miranda pictures.I'm sure there'd be some other gadfly. I love her, dislike her, and pity her in equal measure, though which is dominant depends on my mood. I noticed I became a lot softer towards her once I came up with the theory that she was an L2 and suffered chronic pain for about 15 years. I haven't found a fic use for that particular theory yet, but I still like it. I suppose it's only natural we try to make pet characters more like ourselves. It's not true, or she would have brought it up, but it helps me relate to this physically perfect woman who is smarter and more gifted than I will ever dream of being.

What's so deep about that? All I said was that I made a pathetic attempt at making Miranda a little more like me. Like I said,it's not canon, but it's not completely implausible either.

Just how you worded it, not the meaning, just how you worded it. I swear you should work for Bioware :wizard:

You wouldn't like it if I worked for Bioware. You wouldn't like it one bit. Remember the cameo idea that I came up with a few days ago? That would be canon. Miranda would be in your squad for two missions if she survived, and otherwise unrecruitable. I'd be reviled throughout the thread.

To clarify, before Ieldra has a heart attack: if I could novelize ME3 without regards for anyone's choices but my own, Miranda and Shepard would spend most of the game apart, as she's on the run and trying to take down TIM. You'd have a truly epic reunion towards the end and take him down together. There would even be a love scene. She just wouldn't be part of your normal squad.

Not even if this "cameo" was an hour and a half long and included a love scene?

I don't know, I want to be able to finish ME3 with Miri and Garrus on my side, I am not realy into the whole cameo ideas. If it was done very good, had meaning to it and gave use good closure, then maybe.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for reuniting lovers, and I really want her off the Normandy for a while. I suspect it would be better received in story form than in game form. Particularly if you had a cutscene of her leaving instead of her just magically not being on your squad.

Thats why I said maybe, if it's done good but if she returns near the ned and you can have her with you then I would not mind a long cameo, but it has to be done good. I don't want Miri getting a Ash cameo :crying::crying::crying:

Or in my case, Kaidan.

But that's why you don't want me working for Bioware. I'd be dreadfully cruel to her before I'd let her have her happy ending.

:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: can't you just work there and write the romance scenes :wizard:

Because adversity makes the happy ending sweeter. Although I doubt my idea would work in the game. When was the last time you saw that kind of extended role for an NPC? I'm thinking in novel terms, where she could be a protagonist in her own right.

That...that's what I want. For Miranda to have her own goals and be important to the story in her own right.

I want a game that stars Miri and you play as her :wizard::wizard::wizard:

Okay, pointless question time:

If Miranda were a 2nd or 3rd edition D&D character, what would her alignment be? I say a mild Lawful Evil shifting to True Neutral as the game progresses, particularly if you Paragon her.

Here's my pointless answer: I'm not familiar enough with D&D's alignment system to guess what a character's alignment would be. So, sure, Lawful Evil to True Neutral could work.

D&D had an alignment system? Not in the one I played.

There's a 3E supplement (I forget which one) that lists Al Swearengen (of Deadwood  fame) as Chaotic Good. This is an official supplement. The entire system's so borked that you can assign any alignment to anyone and come up with an argument to back it up.

That said, Neutral Good. Whatever her sins, her heart's in (roughly) the right place.

I say true neutral. She has done some good things, and some bad things. If you could also use the Paragon and Renegade system, I would say she is a Paragade.

Its not like chronic health conditions are over-represented in fiction eh?  I see nothing wrong with this line of thought.  Given Miranda's age it actually makes a bit of sense to me.
