These are the best/interesting ones of a whole bunch of dud shots I took. I wish I had a better camera with a stronger flash.

I embraced my inner fangirl to attend the premiere. I was rewarded with a shot with Yvonne. I r happy.

Continuing my default Shep speed run, and being as cruel to Miranda as I can this time. Feels awful, and the fact that this playthrough is just so I can refresh my memory on some of Thane's dialogue and try to get back in an ME mood doesn't help.

You being cruel to Miranda? Why I never! :P

Har, har. It actually is pretty rough. Normally my Sheps treat her like gold, but I just sort of decided that this Shep was going to never forgive her for wanting to put a control chip in her head. No character concept beyond that and romancing Thane. Just doing whatever I feel like.

And morning.

I prefer custom shepards, if not only for the better animations. Sheploo can look outright creepy, insane, angry, or ridiculous. I got only one goofy smile from my custom Shepard in ME2, but looking at some videos of Sheploo in ME2, Sheploo seems to have some problems with his facial expressions.

When he says "I'm definitely interested" to Miranda in the last romance conversation, that, combined with his smile, is the very definition of "creepy". I can't recall if my Shepard looks better in that scene, but default Shepard...*shudder*.

Here is a scarred up version of Jack with that conversation line

Aww, I miss his scars... only reason I got rid was because I just didn't like the terminator eyes on him.

Richard is going to have the full terminator look when he is finished.

Did you have to repost this one, Sir Ulrich? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/sick.png[/smilie]
I had just managed to get that thing out of my head.

Edit:
What must I see? There's a Jacob fan thread with more than 10 pages? The end is nigh....

Spose I could go make a 'nice' version of it minus the scarring seeing as that line is said post-suicide mission as well :P

Anyway here is a Miri pic to sooth the mind...

She said that line last night when I did my "Kasumi and Zaeed only loyal and survive" playthrough hehe

Jacob's nice enough. I see glimmers of an interesting character there. But his dialogue with FemShep... I don't know what's worse, the dialogue or the fact that I'm actually expected to find this crap entertaining and romantic, seeing as Jacob gets a little extra flirting. At least Miranda keeps her dignity in her romance.

Bioware has been a little inconsistent writing the male LIs and even manshep in his romances.  Gaider does a really excellent job in Dragon Age though.  Both Zevran and Alistair have excellent romances IMO.  Not really sure why it just seems harder for both the male actors and the writers to pull it off generally though.

Yes, he's OK without the romance. I was just joking. Jacob used to get so much hate and now there's actually an interesting dicussion about him in some places. I still don't know why so many people find his loyalty mission the worst. It's low on my personal scale, yes, and it doesn't add anything new about him, but it can't beat Grunt's for sheer boredom.

It's good to be a fan of a character with an excellent loyalty mission. :) And romance.

Err....you....you really killed Miranda?
*picks up the pitchfork*

Seriously, I don't know how people manage to play such games. I can rarely bring myself to let one character die, knowing how he can survive. And I dislike playing stupid Shepards who select the wrong people for their squad and rush in to fight the Collectors without any upgrades.

the scars just look wrong on customs shepards. personally i like them and the terminator eyes - they both add character.... (though i'd remove the former and keep the latter if i could - purely from an aesthetic point of view).

Although even Miranda's, I'd like to add a bit to it and give the player the option of being a bit more overtly romantic.

Since my controversial side is being occupied be fic not yet ready for public consumption, I have an innocuous question for once: if Miranda were given the opportunity to settle down, where would it be?

Not sure if I understand the question.  What circumstances would Miranda consider settling down or where would she be given the opportunity?

Don't get me started about the scars in ME2. I consider it an insult of epic proportions that Bioware first takes away the scars of my ME1 Shepards which added a lot of character, then dares replace them with something right out of a fantasy universe, and has the gall to charge me 50000 platinum to have a an realistic appearance independent from Paragon/Renegade choices. The justification is crap as well - as if Renegade decisions couldn't be reached by clear reasoning and with a cool, detached mind. Just consider Miranda as a counterexample.

:devil:x1000000000000. I hate this feature with a passion.

Sorry, Valmy. Let me rephrase. I always imagined Miranda as never staying in one place for long, never really having a place she considers home. Where would she prefer to live if she didn't always have to move for the next job?

lol - it probably sounded great in concept... one of the reasons i play default shep, whom i can identify with as easily as a custom one...

actually i think she'd be quite happy more-or-less anywhere - planetside or in space, as long as she had something challenging to do.

Probably the Citadel or someplace with lots of opportunities for important work and excitement and so forth.

It's the only playthrough where she has died.... three times now... first in the "Everyone dies" run, second in the "Let's see who I can keep alive with no one loyal" run (she was the only one to die on door defence) and then last night in the "Get only Kasumi and Zaeed out alive" run.

Image IPB

Miranda and Kasumi are the only 2 that out of 8 imports I will be making have not died more than once. Actually I just realised, due to the above playthrough Kasumi hasn't died at all now. The funniest thing was, when I initially tried to do this playthrough, Miranda actually lived. I had taken Kasumi and Zaeed to the final fight with just Miranda, Mordin and Tali on door defence and Miranda miraculously lived despite being known as fairly squishy at that part. So because I was aiming for a "Only Kasumi and Zaeed survived" I switched it around so that Miranda and Tali died after the final battle and Mordin died on door defence.

Out of all the ME2 LIs, Miranda is the LI of 2 of my MaleSheps.

As for playthroughs where some people die, I think it might add some variety to ME3 playthroughs. More so than if every import I had was with a full squad.

Current playthrough is a "Women Power" playthrough whereby the only survivors will be the ladies (and it is a FemShep before you ask). So Miranda, Jack, Tali, Morinth and Kasumi the only survivors.

I've done the Kasumi/Zaeed playthrough just to see how that would pan out with regards ME3, also it was to confirm it was possible as people had been speculating that it wasn't due to some glitch.
