Yea,its tough to get excited for new dlc when its just clothes or a new weapon (which is good, don't get me wrong), just new story content dlc's would be something to get excited about

Yeah I don't really care much about that stuff, although a new Miranda outfit would be fun. But I'd much rather have story-related dlc or "proper" charachter-related dlc, new missions or something.

Yes. Pretty much anything that doesn't contain a new mission and/or new character interaction (for existing characters, please!) is something I can't get excited about. Hear me, BioWare?

An LI-centered DLC would be interesting, although I'd rather have something more related to the main plot at this point. ME2 is too thin in that as it is.

Going back to Horizon with your new ME2 LI to find out why your LI from ME1 treated you bad would be cool with some Reapers thrown in.

I don't think we're quite ready to fight a Reaper.

And why the old LI treats you badly is rather obvious - they don't trust Cerberus, which undermines their faith in Shepard. It would be more interesting to know something about their mission on Horizon. It seems the Alliance isn't quite as blind to the events as they seem on the surface.

Yea, just throwing idea's out to see what people think...I understand all the Horizon stuff.  Maybe the piece in your room from the firewalker dlc will start glowing when you land Horizon.

Yes. I would love to see all that Prothean stuff explored further. The sphere on Eletania, the piece from the Firewalker missions. So far all we have are these tantalizing hints and two artifacts. having the Cipher from ME1 should enable us to understand a bit more. There's also the vision from ME1, we still don't know what it really shows. For instance, what's the object (planet?) at the end of it.

I'd like an exploration mission with Miranda and Mordin analyzing more of those Prothean mysteries.

Yea, I'm thinking all this little stuff from these minor dlc's may be used to fight the reapers in ME3.

As amazing as that would be, I can't see it happening.  Any kind of real earthshattering character development is probably out of the question because it would require new dialogue. That would require a) either bringing VAs like Yvonne back in the studio or B) Bioware using unused dialogue that they either didn't release with the game or stuff from the cutting room floor. It'll probably be another appearance pack - "Pay $5 for snazzy sunglasses for Miranda!"

Starved as I am for new content though, I would probably still pay that .

Announcement about up coming dlc is on the main home page for ME2. Early next week. States that something is on the Horizon with the word "Horizon" in caps like a proper noun.

Now they're announcing announcements about new dlcs? And they say marketing wasn't strange....

they've been doing that for ages - it's the "new" ****.

hopefully it'll be something cool and not just the 2nd appearance pack - the gap between announcements so far may add weight to this.

Not for $5, and not if it's sunglasses. A somewhat realistic outfit would be nice, and something that replaces that atrocious face mask with something that really protects from the vacuum. Although, now that I think of it, the latter should have been in the game in the first place, just as Garrus' new or repaired armor, so I'm tempted to boycott it as a matter of principle, because next we'll be paying for game patches.

OK, I'll probably be buying anything Miranda-related if I like it. But the AP1 doesn't give me much hope. Still haven't bought it even though it's only $2. It's something I don't need.

Why is that? Can't you get them for some reason?

I have dial-up, Ieldra. No Xbox Live or 400MB Kasumi for me.

Having read the article, I don't think there will be any new DLC next week. An announcement about DLC next week, yes. New stuff available to download? Nope.

Just finished replaying Miranda's loyalty mission. The Renegade path is painful. I just want to give her a hug and tell her everything will be okay and she doesn't have to isolate herself from the people she loves.

One of the many reasons why I recommend the PC version. On a PC, all ME2 DLCs can be installed offline, if you can get the files somewhere. Buy the dlcs, let someone else give you the files, install them manually, then register - that will probably work even with very slow connections.

Regarding Mirandas loyalty mission: I tried the Renegade path once - and reloaded after having finished it, then replayed from the start. It's too painful (you know, you're not the only romantic here).

I agree with this. I think we'll hear an announcement, but no actual DLC yet.

What do you say as a renegade?  Get over it?

I wonder how that effects the post mission dialog.

I'll try that, Ieldra.

The Renegade path is emotionally draining for me and leaves a sour taste in my mouth. The things I do for RP and fic research, I'm going to have to replay with my Paragon MaleShep just so I can feel like a human being again. Unfortunately, Kyle is busy exposing Saren at the moment, so I have a tedious few hours ahead of me. The things I do for love.

Shep doesn't say much. Just watching Miranda convince herself its a good thing that the sister she loves will never know her.

Such a Miranda thing to do really, denying herself.

It's still gut-wrenching though when you know the other way that scene can end. :crying:

And I hate it for her. She's truly alone now and I want to reach through the screen and tell her that sge deserves to have a family and people that love her and that the benefits of opening her heart outweigh the risks.

Strange how the kind of people asking themselves that tend to be the kind of people that needn't.

She feels safest alone.  She can keep her humanity well hidden and be the genetically enhanced super person who is all business and ruthless.  That is where she is most comfortable.
