I don't know. Who apart from you and Vyndael is one?

There are alot more but most of the Miranda fans have immigrated to babble about OT stuff since they have exhausted what they had to say.

Check out the Miranda group there a bunch of female Miranda fans.

I just expect a fairly sharp gender divide when it comes to liking LIs. It was fairly involved in the KOTOR fandom for a while, and the vast majority of Bastila fans were men. Same with Carth and women. On LiveJournal, which has enough women that I default to feminine pronouns unless I'm told otherwise, I can't go five minutes without tripping over a Garrus or Kaidan fic. Miranda and Tali get much less attention, although Jack is moderately popular.

I never like who I'm "supposed" to. Natural contrarian, I guess. If you can call what I feel for Miranda "like." No wonder I confuse people.  I do seem to lack a certain protectiveness that most of you seem to have, and we've already established that I will cheerfully pair her with half the cast ( though not at the same time).

Since I seem to have killed the thread again: what sort of Christmas or birthday gift would Miranda appreciate?

You know, I'd give anything if I could've been a fly on the wall during her conversation with Oriana.

Sorry I couldn't think of anything to say that I have not already said to you.  I think you are a great Miri fan, you do not have to be all protective of her to be a fan.  Anyway...

I would probably take her to a concert of Nielson's 5th for her gift...probably anything except something related to her job...maybe a vacation?  We do not really get to learn much about her outside interests or hobbies.

Sorry, Valmy. I just went back and read a bit more teasing at my expense elsewhere. All in good fun. I encourage it.

Concert tickets would be good. I'm not sure Miranda lets herself have many hobbies.

When your job is achieving the impossible with limited resources do you really need any?

Wait I seem to recall she enjoys a nice champagne from time to time.  Maybe a nice bottle of the best stuff...after all she only wants the best.

I wonder what she drinks when she's in a less celebratory mood.

No, I guess you don't need a hobby when you regularly have to do six impossible things before breakfast. She's capable. Arrogant, but can back it up. Somewhat self-loathing. Generous and devoted to those she loves. Her virtues and flaws are both somewhat larger than life. She and Liara are the only characters I could conceive of as protagonists in their own right. Miranda is very tempting to turn into a tragic hero. Put her against a genuine impossibility and watch.

Man I would love a game where you are Miranda.  Oh well it will never happen.

Might with Liara though but I am rather indifferent to her.

I was thinking in more literary terms. Not much of a gamer. CRPGs and sports titles are pretty much all I play. Limited use of hands=no fun w/ shooters or other action games.

I only play CRPGs and some history games.  I don't have enough time to really qualify as a gamer anymore.

Bioware games are too long and complex for a movie.  It would really only be served by a HBO mini-series.  Considering how sacred I consider these games nothing less would make me happy.

Hey guys! Long time no see.

Just got back from a five days-long trip and finally got around to work on that ME1 canon playthrough.

Remember how I said Space/Sole Survivor was awesome?  I take it back, lol.

I'm not even talking about the elephant in the room and how it would affect the... dynamic with Miranda. Sole Survivor would just be too busy killing just about anything else in the galaxy, lol.

I suppose I kinda forgot how so many people went "OMG, this must be an insanely painful memory, but I just *have* to bring up how AWESOME Akuze was!"   Seriously, Sole Survivor Shep not killing Jacob and Miranda right after the first mission just might be the biggest plothole ever.

Also, Miranda does have... issues with Shep's leadership abilities and achievements. War Hero seems to fit that dynamic much better than the other origins, eh.

KOTOR had a huge gender divide. A lot of its hardcare fans are female too. I usually wrote as a MRev pairing Revan and Bastila but the one fic I wrote as a FRev with Carth got three times the views and reviews than my Mrev work.

As for the perfect gift for Miranda? A Stradivarius violin. Miranda obviously has an appreciation for classical music, one of the few interests she can really share with her sister. Considering how stressful her job must be, settling back after a long day with a violin would be almost cathartic. Given her attitude of settling for nothing but the best and her genetic engineering (suggesting she probably has perfect pitch), she could probably appreciate the perfection of a Stradivarius better than most.

fongiel, I remember those days. Carth never grabbed my attention the way Bastila did. I must find blue-eyed brunette ice queens compelling. I'm actually disappointed Miranda didn't turn on us in a similar manner. I would have enjoyed the redemption. And she would make a fantastic villain.

I could. Considering I hear Jennifer Hale's voice in my head sometimes when I read Miranda's dialogue. Pity she's already FemShep.

Hale did a bad job with Shepard, she was way better as Bastila. <_<
