Why does that remind me of that Templar in DAO - Cullen, wasn't that his name - if you played as a female mage. He went totally bonkers over his "forbidden" attraction. Ah, sexually frustrated priests, monks, templars and suchlike, they always have it coming.

I agree with that. As for the slightly kinky bits, I do definitely not agree. Mostly because I dislike it. Won't have a character I like be "tainted" like that.

I don't think Miranda would be high maintenance at all. If anything, she's low maintenance. She's self-reliant, has a well-paying job (presumably), she's got her own separate life so if you don't call she's unlikely to worry too much about it, and if it ever turns out the two of you don't work well, she'll make a clean break and go on with her life.

That's her appeal, IMO. If you're fortunate enough to ever be in a real relationship with her, she doesn't NEED you, she WANTS you. She'll be straight forward with you and easy to understand. She doesn't strike me as the type to want to play head games, to string you along, or pretend everything is okay when it's not.

QFT.

"High maintenance" is something I'd never have thought of. But she's not one to back off easily. Expect some epic fights if the relationship goes on.

The setting for Miranda's romance scene was... an interesting choice by the writers. Miranda says she'll only settle for the best, so she forgoes the captain's quarters with its b*tching sound system, room length aquarium, and king sized bed and instead goes for the dirty engine room floor?

Um.... maybe it's always been something she's fantasized about but doesn't Shepherd have a say in any of this?

An ad-hoc justification if you ask me, just the same as the rumour about the engine's vibrations having some effect. Doesn't change that I almost feel the pain in my back whenever I watch that scene. You know, they could've changed the floor texture just for that scene, couldn't they?

The thing that makes it all a bit silly is surely if she believes the engine room is "the best" place for a bit of fun, then she wouldn't be bothered about being invited to Shep's room post-suicide mission.



Speaking of which, going on the possibility of all LIs being in ME3, I reckon that the LI will be in the Captains Quarters. Seems odd that for each of the levels of the lift, it lists what team members are there even in the captains quarters. That to me is an indication that has been left as it is for ME3 to save them having to modify it for that game.



Can be easily implemented as they just basically have it that the 'invite <insert character>' option is no longer needed and the LI is sat in that same spot they are post-suicide mission.



Just a theory I have anyway.



One thing I really do hope though is that old LIs (ME or ME2) don't have to wait until the final mission to get some loving. To me that seems a bit silly.



I can understand them keeping it for people wanting new LIs in ME3, but old ones it makes no sense for them to do that.

I doubt we'll see any mid-mission sex in ME3. Character interactions in ME1 and ME2 have generally always served the role of character or plot development. ME sex scenes seem to serve as a denouement for Shepherd's relationship with an LI in that particular game. I have a feeling they'll keep that convention in ME3, even if ME1/ME2 LIs return as squadmates.

Ok I probably didn't make myself clear, am not talking about sex, just some potential different conversations/lovey dovey fun if they have the LIs as squadmates on the ship.

The other key thing is that realistically the 'pre-final mission love scene' should be different for ME/ME2 LIs in comparison to 'new' ME3 LIs to show the difference in length of being an LI.

Am not saying they should concentrate on just LI stuff, just that imho there has to be a difference with this being the last of the trilogy.

That would be annoying. Miranda has her own work, so why would she always wait in the Captain's quarters. I definitely don't want that. Better to leave the "invite" option in.

They could do it like in DAO. You had a little repeatable love scene. Nothing complex, really, and I didn't use it all that often, but it helped immensely to make you feel you were in an ongoing relationship.

I agree to some extent but it just seems weird that they put the words 'Team Members' on the Captain's Quarters level if they weren't going to have it so at some point someone is there. Unless they just got lazy when writing out those screens and forgot to remove it for that level (like they forgot to add Kasumi to the original list for the 'Crew's quarters' level (on my kasumi and zaeed only survive playthrough for that level it states 'None' underneath the Team Members line but then under None states Kasumi).
