What's the copy and paste glitch? I just upload pics to imageshack and link them from there.

I was just testing you guys to uh... see if you could recognize a glitch if you saw one...

Miranda related topic:

If Shepard caught a missile to the face or choked on his Cheerios, could Miranda have completed his mission by herself?

She's supposed to be Shepard's second-in-command so I assume she would have been expected to complete the mission in the event of Shepard being incapacitated, right?

The copy and paste glitch happens when you copy and paste text, usually from Microsoft Word.

Oh, that. <_< I thought it was something to do with pics for whatever reason. ^_^

We thank you for this thoughtful and considerate test and are pleased we passed it superbly.

First, my Shepard eats Mini Wheats. The pink kind. Strawberry icing on 'em.

Second, I think so, yeah, but with limited success. She's not as good of a leader in that she can't motivate through inspiration and loyalty. I don't think she would have successfully won the loyalty of all the crew.

Because of this, her sucess in the suicide mission would've been, as I said, limited.

Joshua Shepard eats Fruit loops :wizard: as for miri succeding, yes but i think she would die trying, but she would stop the Collectors.

This depends on when Shepard dies.

If Shepard dies like, just entering the Omega Four relay, she could probably pull it together enough to destroy the Collector base (though Jack might not be happy about her assuming direct control.) Miranda is probably at least as good a tactician as Shepard. (Garrus could probably do it, too, IMO.)

But if Shepard dies before everyone is recruited, I don't see it happening as well. She's just not as much of a "people person" as the kind of Shepard who would recruit everyone and do all the loyalty missions. This is why TiM wanted Shepard, and what sets Shepard apart (that and the Player Character boost of awesomeness.)

@Ieldra: You say that like it's a bad thing. I actually thought you'd be more disapproving. My apologies.

 Don't try to predict my personal preferences, they're a weird bunch. Talk politics and ethics and you can rely on me being a social libertarian. Mostly.

And yes, I was skeptic about this. Not because of sexual orientation as such, but because the idea would change the Miranda I came to like in a fundamental way. Sexual orientation *is* a fundamental personality aspect. I also think that the writing of some scenes would have to be very different.

As for why I would have liked it? Mostly because I don't like any of the romance options femSheps have got, and my main femShep has been getting so lonely she's begun to consider a non-human. So far, the only game where my female characters got a good romance was DAO, where I liked all three LI characters for female Wardens.

About more dialogue in that scene, I totally agree. It needed more. Even the dialogue content in Liara's romance scene, which didn't have much, would've been better. And that conversation was just pretty much,

I definitely do not agree. That scene was about passion. Passion that had been building up between them all the time in their conversations after her loyalty mission. It could have been just recreational sex, except for those conversations. They had established that they trusted each other, they had spoken of possible love, whether it's worth it and all, but now the time for talking was over, there wasn't anything left to say after the wink scene, only to accept that they're drawn to each other irresistibly, and act on it. The scene is so much better for not having any talking in it.

@kraidy1117:
Nice to see you visit here. I noticed you defected to the Ashley thread...:P

Here's what I think of Miranda's chances of putting together a team:

Zaeed: Definitely yes. Pretty much self-explanatory, he has purely mercenary motives.
Kasumi: Probably yes. Another mercenary although her payment demands are in the form of help for her mission and not credits.
Mordin: Probably yes. Is interested in the mission for the intellectual challenge and because he wants to help stop the Collectors.
Garrus: Maybe but probably leaning more towards no. Would probably feel at least some obligation towards Miranda if she saved him from the mercs and he might be attracted to the idea of protecting human colonists. However, he has also seen Cerberus' less savoury side from traveling with Shepard.
Grunt: Maybe - depends on whether Miranda releases him. Grunt is just looking for a good fight - provided Miranda can restrain him and can provide him with the fighting he wants, he might be game. The key is whether Miranda would actually release him from the tank.
Jack: No. Pretty self-explanatory. Miranda could pick her up at Purgatory but they would probably either part ways or kill each other shortly after.
Thane: Probabably yes. He's another crusader who's attracted more by the mission than Shepard's personal charm.
Samara: Probably yes. Same reasoning as Thane.
Tali: Do I even have to address Tali? No.
Legion: No. Miranda would turn him in to Cerberus for the bounty.

By my count, that's 1 definite yes, 4 probably yeses, 2 maybes, plus Jacob. That makes for a team of nine, including Miranda and the maybes. That should technically be enough for Miranda to finish the question, provided Shepard's absence doesn't make a huge dent in the team's combat abilities. Whether Miranda could keep the team together for that long though, much less get them out alive afterwards, is still open to speculation.

I actually always found it really, really difficult to keep up with the Tali thread. (True story: KFD_Case's long speech about Tali being a symbol of attainable perfection was a response to a post of mine over there.)

I used to lurk in almost all of the threads, but these days I'm just posting here and in the Dwarven Thread on the DA forums. (Because DWARFS ARE AWESOME!)

This is interesting to think about, as one wonders how much of the game's total development costs voice acting is. It also suggests that having an additional or expanded LI scene would not be that hard (and probably make almost everyone who visits these forums extremely happy, if my poll is any indication.)

I don't know, but I think VAs aren't paid by the second but that it's a package deal, comparable to how an actor gets a fixed sum for a role in a movie. So it would be usually cost-effective to record some lines you might not need, instead of having to expand the deal later and pay an additional sum just to record new stuff you hadn't anticipated the need for.

I visited the Tali thread once, went :crying: when I saw it ran 4000 pages and updated every minute, and have never been back since. I have no idea how they can maintain any kind of a coherent discussion in there (not a jab at the Talimancers, I really do want to know how they maintain coherency).
