I do have infinite respect for Miranda when she turns against TIM at the Collector base. That makes me very very happy!

I do like Miranda, don't get me wrong! I just think Jack is more justified in their argument, but ultimately, both encourage you to blow up the base which is great in my books!

Hey, debates are fun, without debates, a thread becomes borining.

If I spend six months looking for and digging up my ex-girlfriend's body so I could hand it over to a terrorist group that told me they could resurrect her, all because I couldn't let her go, would you consider me emotionally stable?

They didn't tell her it could be resurrected....TIM just told Liara they wanted the body so it could be brought to rest.  They laid the resurrection thing on her after she brought the body back.

You don't think Miranda would do the same for Shepard?

Direct quote:

Shepard: That anger can't be from just from what you've told me. What else happened between you and the
Shadow Broker?
Liara: Did Cerberus ever tell you how they recovered your body?
Liara: I gave it to them. I gave you to them, Shepard. Because they said they could rebuild you.
Liara: And to do that, I had to take it from the Shadow Broker, who was going to sell your corpse to the
Collectors.
Shepard: Why didn't you tell me about this before now?
Liara: Because I screwed it up Shepard.  I barely escaped with my own life.
Liara: And when I gave you to
Cerberus, I told myself I was doing it for you, for a chance to bring you back.
Liara: But I knew Cerberus would use you for their own business. And I let it
happen.  Because I couldn't let you go. I'm sorry.

Would Miranda do the same for Shepard? I'm going to say no, at least not for the reasons Liara stated she did it. Miranda might do it, but only to prevent the Collectors possibly making use of it. Miranda would treat dead Shepard's body like any other piece of valuable intelligence or technology, not a dead lover she could hopefully bring back because she wasn't able to let go.

This may get out of hand so consider using this group thread for the discussion so the Warming to Miranda thread doesn't become a Miranda v. Jack back and forth

Never heard of it.

Oh it's really quite good, but I'm not sure you'd fit in.

Nobody loves me. I don't belong nowhere.

jlb524...

Nope, just Miranda.  She should be more understanding.   Jack is the one
that just had to relive the horrors of her childhood, not Miranda.   If
the roles were reversed, I'd side with Miranda.

No matter what you say or how much I sympathize with Jack, when I walked into that room I was overwhelmed with that indefinable sense from Jack, that "stirring sh*t up" intuition when I looked at her that teachers and moderators can feel coming from a particular participant when they walk into an argument, and know that person started it.

Stirring sh*t up is a taboo.

I don't want you all to think I'm trolling. The Shep I roleplay definitely trusts Miranda more than Jack. Miranda is one of the few people she trusts, besides Liara and Ashley (her bff from ME1) or Garrus and Tali. She trusts Miranda as her XO and second in command indefinitely. She just feels Jack is more justified during their confrontation.

I'm glad we agree on something!  We also agree that our fave ME characters should get their due in ME3.   You just think they will absolutely and I'm pessimistic towards that idea.

Besides Job your not trolling at all, you did't realy diss her or show her death scene or something that would ****** us off, thus you are not trolling.

:wizard: well I just read the last issue and I feel your pain now. The comic realy did't give us a good reason why Liara wants to save Faron. I heard she fell in love with him, but reading the last issue, theres nothing that even hsows that he was even a friend. Walters should just go back to making and writing characters, stay away from writing stories :crying:

Yeah, the problem with the comic is that is was just a comic....they couldn't do too much.   I'm disappointed that the Miranda/Liara relationship wasn't developed more in ME2.  They were obviously on a first name basis in the comic and that was completely dropped in ME2.  They don't even acknowledge each other in ME2, nor does Liara/Garrus.

Is it in the hidden alcove that leads to the time portal?
