Compared to ME and ME2 sales, it will be low. ME2 did a killing both critical and money wise. Bioware has alot to do for ME3.

They do indeed....hopefully they will do it!

As I have said many times, if none of the ME2 squad is in ME3 as the sqaud, sales will hurt bad, plus Biowares rep. ME2 makes sence for holding back Ash, Kaidan and Liara since it's the middle of the trilogy. If there was a ME4, then I would not mind miri getting a cameo, it would hurt, but ME3 is the final so Miri getting a cameo treatment would suck. I want closure.

I don't think it will hurt sales, but I want my Liara and dancing Thane in ME3 dammit!  Miri should still be my second in command....I can't think of a better person to fill that role in ME3.

I'm sympathetic to squad mates being in ME3, just not hopefull.

Most people don't buy ME because they're in love with a particular character. People who are devoted to one LI are in the minority. I can say it's a pretty safe bet that unless I'm dead or otherwise similarly incapacitated, I'm going to be buying ME3. Hmmm... I wonder when they start taking preorders...

No characters come back from ME or ME2, all your choices mean notihng and you get new characters who are borining.

Yes, people prefer to think of ME as a trilogy where the previous relationships (either romantic or platonic) mean something throughout the course of the story. Giving us 6 or so new squad mates for ME3 would defeat that.

This isn't necessarily true. If there's one thing Bioware does exceptionally well, it's create interesting characters that their fans can relate to and come to love. ME2 itself is an example of that. Only two of your squadmates from ME1 returned and Bioware didn't experience anything resembling a revolt by its fans.

As long as they bring back Shepard and continue the storyline of the Reapers, people will purchase ME3 because they have faith Bioware will do something good. I would be disappointed if none of the ME1/ME2 characters are available as squadmates in ME3, but that wouldn't stop me from buying the game.

I hate to say this, but Miranda probably has less of a chance of returning that some of the other characters. If ME1/ME2 is any indication, Bioware will probably want to reshuffle its "leading" characters. Considering her prominent role, I'm really afraid Miranda won't make the cut. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

One of my fav parts, this also has a meaning to it too. That she trust's Shepard to make sure Oirana will be safe.

This got me thinking...

Each character's loyalty mission pretty much closes a chapter in their lives, but with Miranda resigning from Cerberus, where does that place Oriana and her family? Cerberus is the one protecting her from their father. Without Miranda's connection to Cerberus, what's stopping TIM from withdrawing support?

Well, if you chose the paragon path with Zaeed, maybe his journey for revenge isn't done yet either.

So I was wondering... New loyalty-like missions in ME3 perhaps?

Yes, probably I'll buy the game anyway. I want to see the end of Shepard's story. But if they're going to give us main new squadmates again, and my favorite one, which of course is Miranda, doesn't return, there's one thing I'll have learned: not to care about them. It's one thing to have one game which tells one story, but if you make a trilogy, then you'd better back that up with some character continuity. Many of us have started relationships with squadmates, either in ME1or ME2 or both. If there's no continuity there, where it most matters, then the whole personal relationships aspect of the games is meaningless. I'm sure there was no revolt by the fans of the ME1 LI characters (and from the impression I got, it was a near thing) only because there's still a chance for closure in ME3.

So yes, I'll play ME3 regardless. But if Miranda does not return, I'm sure I'll not be the only one who'll be very vocal about my disappointment.

i feel the same way. my ME2 romance is much better than my ME1 romance even though she's really cool.

I really don't care tbh if some squadmates are cameoed. As long as the story for why is reasonable and as long as the overall story of the ME trilogy is strong and solid as it has been. I'm getting really sick to death of all the pathetic pessimism and bitterness on the boards in general. Some people really need to grow up.

Now I've got that off my chest... time for a Miranda Lawson pic

I think they look like they're related, but definitely not close enough to be perfect genetic twins. I can let Jacob and his dad go, they don't have to be an exact match, but Miranda and Oriana should have been closer.

I got a plot idea for me3, what if Oriana tired to seduce Shepard as some love crazed barely legal teenager?
