In fact, I was surprised it was you who made it.
I'm sure there were no bad intentions, but I was little bit disapointed. Posted Image

It was just joking around, I did't mean to get people mad :crying:

Anmyways, in my mind, Miri's looks are a huge bonus. Her looks was not the thing that got me intrested in her, it was her character. I played Galaxy and she was a very intresting character, and I followed her character through the ME2 launch and I loved her fight for the lost video. When ME2, I was not isapointed, I loved the complexy to her and the barriers you have to pick to see the person underneth. Even tho her sex scene could have been better, the dialog leading up to the final part of the romance was fantastic.

Of course she's beautiful. And blatantly sexual. I couldn't get away with some of the stuff I write if she wasn't. But if that were all she was, I wouldn't be interested in writing her or discussing her in the first place.

I am surprised no one has done one for Miri, I wonder how good of a dancer she is :wizard:

And Jatv, you are right.Beuty is good and all, but the character needs to be intresting. If Miri was like Jacob, I would never have even did her romance.

I'm imagining Miranda trying to teach Shep to dance and breaking into giggles. Poor boy. No, poor Miranda.

I don't like Shep at all but I now have a strangely fond smile on my face.

Shepard can't dance if his life depended on it. Thane and Tali can dance better then him, I wonder if Miri is a better dancer :wizard: thats why I want someone to do a GIF of that part.

Struggling fic writer needs assistance. I need a rational reason, any rational reason, to explain the plot hole of the entire squad leaving the Normandy while leaving the crew behind.

Hmm...

Why the Normandy crew has to stay behind:
This part is relatively easy so I'll attempt an explanation on this part first. Perhaps incorporating Reaper tech (the IFF) doesn't just affect the systems it's directly connected to. The entire Normandy crew needs to stay in case something goes wrong. (You could come up with something like integrating the IFF core is causing power surges/shortages in systems all over the ship, necessitating a full crew to take care of it)

Why Shepard's entire team has to leave:
Hmm...  Work on the IFF has given Cerberus some leads on possible Collector activity in multiple locations. Seeing as so little is known about the Collectors, Shepard wants to take the opportunity to further observe them. However, Shepard fears the Collectors may move before the Normandy can catch up to them so to cover more ground, he takes his entire combat team with him, intending to split them up to observe the different locations.

Edit: Doing some brainstorming of my own and came up with something else.
When Shepard's team reaches the Collector sites (maybe they're communications beacons or something similar), they inadvertently activate a homing beacon on the IFF on the Normandy (due to the combat team's proximity to Collector artifacts) when they check in over FTL communications channels.

I stil lthink what Bioware should have done is that when that Shepad gets a message from a survior a Collector attack, thus Shepard and his team go to investaget. you take control of Shepard at this part and find out it's a trap. You fight off Collectors, then you get a message from Joker saying 'WE need-" it cut's off and then the screne goes black and shifts to the Normandy as the Collectors are attacking the ship, then you play as Joker.

That's not a bad idea. I'm about ready to scrap this and go back to writing about Miranda and Thane, but I'll turn this over in my head in the meantime and see if I can flesh it out in an interesting way.

Yes, I did. Both yours and fongiel's.

What do I have in store? A good bit of trouble for Miranda. As always. But I'm hoping it goes easier than writing Shep/Miranda. I'm no good at that.

:wizard: can't wait. Also it's sad that us fans can write better stuff then what is written by people who are paid to do it. I think Walters should just go back to writing characters.

Well fan writers don't have budget concerns. But Walters is much better at character than plot. He/the writers also did a nice job fleshing out the various alien races.

The fan fiction community can put out some impressive work, but I'd hesitate to call it better than what ME2's writers did. Writing a video game is different from writing fiction because the medium is different. Us fans can use thousands of words to express a character and his or her backstory. ME2's writers have a cap of several hundred words per character, tops, and they don't have the benefit of writing exposition to explain their intentions. Without Walters and Karpyshyn, we have no Miranda to discuss or write stories about.

On another note, I just finished Karpyshyn's first ME novel, Revelation, and I have to be honest. It's... meh . I found the characters too flat. Anderson is too good and Saren is too evil. I never really found myself caring. The overall storyline is good, but I'm starting to understand why Bioware brought Walters in as lead writer for ME2.

Edit: Dammit, got confused between Ascension and Revelation. Probably won't both starting Ascension.

Ya I fine Walter is fantastic at making characters, but for plots, I think Bioware should let Drew do them. I still wonder who wrote Miri, I still think it might have been Jacks writer because bothg are similar in alot of ways.
