Miranda is a very good dancer. But she's a bit old-fashioned - she only does classical. You won't see her dance Afterlife style.kraidy1117 wrote...

Why all of a sudden I have Bell and the beast dancing in my head?

She's moderately successful with my Shepard. But only because he loves her and puts extra efforts into it. It's still hard work and tries Miranda's patience.jtav wrote...
I'm imagining Miranda trying to teach Shep to dance and breaking into giggles. Poor boy. No, poor Miranda.
I don't like Shep at all but I now have a strangely fond smile on my face.
@kraidy:
I don't know what you're talking about. Damn cultural references.... or do you refer to the archtypal "beauty and the beast" story.

I wonder why Saren was so good in the game and so bad in the book. As I understand it, Karpyshyn's had his hands on ME1 as well.fongiel24 wrote...
On another note, I just finished Karpyshyn's first ME novel, Revelation, and I have to be honest. It's... meh. I found the characters too flat. Anderson is too good and Saren is too evil. I never really found myself caring. The overall storyline is good, but I'm starting to understand why Bioware brought Walters in as lead writer for ME2.
Anyway, if we're stuck with these two writers, I'd have Karpyshyn do the plot and Walters the characters. *barely restrains himself from going on another rant about the ME2 main plot and the ending sequence*

The Walt Disney version. Yes I have a soft spot.

If she wasn't, she'd have to betray Shepard in the end. As interesting as that would have been, we don't want that. Or do we?kraidy1117 wrote...

Of course, the femme fatale aspect gets severely watered down once you leave Freedom's Progress. Pity.
This. Miri is still a well-written character, but she is a very water down femme fatale.

If it was done like Bastila, I would have loved it. When I saw Bastila turned to the darkside I was heartbroken, and one of my fav parts is if you where in a romance with her, there is extra dialog where you can use your love for her to return. I would't have minded something like that for Miri. If you where not romancing her and a female shepard, you have too charm her, or similar to Wrex if you did her quest, you pick certain dialog and she trust you. If you are in a romance, you choose dialog that shows how much you love her.

I'd be careful with the "terrorist" designation. That term gets used too much in political propaganda these days. Cerberus is criminal, but not terrorist - they don't use indiscriminate violence to inspire terror in order to further their political agenda. In fact, from anything we know, they take great pains to keep their involvement secret, and whichever atrocities they commit serve a scientific agenda, not a political one. The political agenda is pushed forward behind the scenes.jtav wrote...
Don't forget ruthless and morally ambiguous. I really thought there'd be some question as to her loyalty to you. I also expected the fact that she worked for Very Bad People to be brought up even more. She's a member of a terrorist organization.

No, it's not. But I agree with you. Between your influence and mine, it may just get more popular.jtav wrote...
Yeah, I wish they'd given her that dimension. My personal backstory for her has her using sex if it's the fastest way to her goals. Her father paid for her looks. She might as well use them. Flirting, and less frequently, actual sex, would be just another tool in the box. This is not a popular theory.

Will it make you happy that I support this? I think that she did use sex in the past to get things done. It's a shame it's not that popular, some miri fans try to say she was a virgin and was waiting for Shepard

I'm surprised how much that hat fits her. I want a Miranda dress pack DLC. And something that complements it for Shepard. Too bad ME2 isn't as easily moddable as DAO.

Wishful thinking and the dogma of exclusivity in sex (and a few other factors I won't go into here) overriding common sense. If I wanted a virgin, I'd go to Tali.kraidy1117 wrote...

I know, I like her with that hat, I really hope her next outfit does't have any Cerberus logo (similar to Shepards new outfit, no Cerberus logo)

Definitely not. The lifestealing meme is generic. Just read up about Báthory and you'll see about everything else about her is different from Morinth.Sixth Goul wrote...

So... new character... new new romance capability for my shephard other than once again hooking up with Miranda. I want my new characters to be different, but it's like Miranda is like a vortex that sucks my interest in. Damn you Yvonne Strahovski!

I think it also has to do with the lack of choices, I mean if Samara was a real LI option then I could have been tempted too choose her on another playthrough.
Because at the moment there is only Miri and Tali, and not everyone feels comfortable with the idea of bedding a Quarian, I guess some aren't interested in bedding a human either.
But in the end it's simple..... Miri is just awsome!

As for my shipping preferences, they have less to do with xenophilia and more that these characters I like happen to be alien and I don't think any of the human crew would be a good match for her (except for maybe Kaidan). I'd much rather Thane have been human, and I'd still be writing this story if he was.
