Although I probably should steel myself for some funny looks and "but they barely talk!" Not to mention the xenophilia, which I don't like, but is so rampant in universe that I might as well go with it.

Well judging by how Thane is, I think Miri would be attracted to that. Still, you have supporters for this Jtav, hope it works out. :wizard:

Seriously, I'm in one of my sympathetic moods regarding Miranda. It's Shep I want to push off a cliff.

Probably your reasons are different from mine, but yes, there are times I want to do that, too. How Miranda puts up with the man is a mystery.

It's kind of strange you two hate character that you have almost complete control of.

Yes... it's interesting. Veeeeeery interesting.

It'd be funny if me talking about this led to a mini-surge of Miranda/Thane fic.

"Get the hell away from me, you crazy ass bastard!"

You know, I never actually finished that little fic of mine. I had planned to write one more chapter with Miranda and Thane. No romance though.

Quick, silly question. Miranda's gloves completely cover her hands except for her knuckles, right?

They don't cover her knuckles or her fingers from the knuckles down.

Actually they do cover her fingers. It's just hard to tell sometimes with her white uniform because the gloves are white and she has very light skin.

Did not know that. Always thought they were just fingerless gloves.

Yeah, he made great strides and all that, but the dude was downright creepy sometimes. Something definitely wrong there. What was wrong, exactly? Well he refused to be psychoanalyzed, so we'll never know.

Well Freud invented (or helped invent) psychoanalysis but that doesn't mean he was the best at it, only the first. I admire the Wright brothers for "inventing" flight but that doesn't mean I'd catch a flight to New York in one of their creations :P.

I have no idea. I'm just really annoyed at the people who think that he has everything figured out...in the 19-20th century of all things. Humans are more complex than "lol you want to have sex with your parent" Or that women secretly wish that they were born with a penis. I mean, seriously...it's insulting.

He was a confused man. Unfortunately even a confused man can influence a mentally unenlightened society so long as he is confident and acts like he knows what he's talking about.

Freud was a silly man, disregard his ideas. There are better ones out there.

I find the whole conciousness drivel nonsense as well as ID and Ego and that isn't going into his more "interesting" theories. Never apply patients with abnormal psychological patterns to the average person, ever

I can't seem to think of anybody in our modern, well-educated, well-informed society. I think we've moved beyond that age.

Lol! Oh God, don't get me started...

That's what Freud needed, right there - an Oprah to hold his leash.

Find Jung much more interesting if we're talking about psychoanalysis.

Thanks for the help with the gloves. I admit I'm a bit relieved, as it makes writing certain things easier.

Freud would fit in perfectly with Oprah's stable of resident crazies. They could give him his own segment right between Suzanne Somers and Jenny McCarthy.

Freud wouldn't be able to get away with his ideas had he first presented them in the current century. He'd get pulverized by feminist groups with his inane idea that women wish they were born men.
