Not surprising considering her model.
Well, my idea was that depending on the ending of me1 Shepard would ether be imprisoned or in a mental ward. If renagade ending was chosen he'd be on house arrest due to alien politics to prevent war.For the paragon ending the alien council in the belief that Shepard has gone mad with all this Reaper talk has him place in a mental ward.In both cases Shepard loses his rank and is done in secret by tribunal. The crew is disbanded and are still irrelevant.Ether way, two years later,Cerberus breaks Shepard out making in look like a kidnapping druging him the people that Miranda and Jacob, why no? He wakes up in a Cerberus base and the story countines there from what was originally done. Just without the death , I saw no reason for him to potentally die twice with suffering some psychological anything the first time.Ieldra2 wrote...
It did introduce Miranda in an unforgettable way. Their relationship has an added dimension because she was the project leader for Project Lazarus. So, no, I don't think ME2 would feel the same with a different transfer story, espcially if Shepard and Miranda get together.Sixth Goul wrote...
Does anyone think that whole death angle at the beginning of me2 was needless? I've thought of two alternates that could have taken Shepard out of the game for two years. At the same time keeping to the main premise of joining Cerberus and all that.
But I do think it was - again - a big scientific blunder. It should not have been possible under any remotely plausible conditions, although we can always pretend that Shepard's body was shock-frozen fast enough to keep his brain structure intact (very unlikely) and caught before it entered the atmosphere of that planet we see in the intro (also unlikely). I wish the ME games took the science in the fiction at least somewhat seriously.

I like to say that out of all the support threads Miranda is the only one that attracts sane or mentally capable people.

Indeed, lots of nice folks in the other support thread. You can't judge support communities by people even said communities think are weird.
Have you seen the Jack or Garrus threads? They're almost always on-topic with intelligent posts. The Ash and Kaidan threads would be too if we had more than a five minute cameo to work with.Sixth Goul wrote...
Relax, just a broad generalization no need to get all up arms, no need for needless flame war.
