Can you actually playthrough the first ME without having romance? Sorry, but I bought the both games at the same time so I only played the first one through once and that was rushed. Considering new run after I get back home, but not sure if I can stand the sidemissions.

Regarding ME LIs, yup as Mav said, you can do it. Actually it is really easy to... just don't talk to them much
Or as a better way to ensure no romance with Liara, leave going to get her till after Virmire, because then you also get the added bonus of the 'hallucination' version of the cut-scene

That and killing the other potential LI at Virmire seals it.

Who... then... fell in love with Garrus during ME2

Yes, you can easily play ME1 without romance. If you get sucked in accidentally, and it's not Liara, you can leave them on Virmire, but it works if you just don't choose the romance options.

BTW, the sidemissions aren't that bad. Gameplay is mostly boring but fortunately short, sidequest-specific dialog, on the other side, is often better than in ME2 where it often doesn't exist at all. The part I wouldn't repeat are the collection missions, they require lots of Mako-driving, often through frustratingly rocky terrain. But don't forget to use the trinket on Eletania - what you do (not) here is stored in the savegame and transferred to ME2.

Depends what kind of missions it brings I guess.



I think there is an initial mission which is on foot where we got to reclaim it back from where it has been stolen, so I imagine some dialogue there, after that, as said it depends if the missions it is used in are purely 'in the tank' or any mixed. Forgot to check if there is an enter/exit vehicle keybind?



I am actually hoping that we are only really using it in environments that are too unsafe for us to walk around in other than in buildings we can drive it into, where we can have a mix of both vehicular and on foot combat.



I suppose one good thing about the way XP is given in ME2 compared to ME is that there is no 'extra bonus' other than a "Look at me, I killed <insert enemy> without the hammerhead" boast.



Actually, one thing I would LOVE to take it into a fight with is one of them flying beasts that spawns them Klixens.
