Yes. Kasumi's Shadow Strike works well against everything, and her Flashbang grenades insta-kill Husks. You might think the combination would be a bit one-sided if you play an Engineer Shepard, but no, the combination is perfect, especially if you take Reave as a bonus power. I've used Miranda and Kasumi everywhere but on other's loyalty missions on my Insanity playthrough, and I'd do it again. I don't think there's a more powerful combination, although on Veteran and lower more biotics might be more powerful since you won't get swarms of armored Husks there.Valmy wrote...

I must stand out with my DAO mage avatar.... but she's my favorite character (of those I've played myself) in Bioware games after my BG1-2 Diviner of 1998 (named "Mirande" of all things), so I stick with her.Sixth Goul wrote...

I'm just waiting to get called on my tendency to pair Miranda with what feels like half the cast (okay, four people, but it includes both genders and three species). I suck at the whole OTP thing.

Lucky you. I wouldn't know what to do in a single canon playthrough, so I must do several with all bases covered.Valmy wrote...

I really need to play ME2 again. I completely forgot about that mind control thing.
I guess I want to do a big 'Valmy Canon' runthrough through both games but I am debating as to whether I should wait until the DLC for ME2 is completed.
BTW, does anyone know if ME2 has more than two different ending scenes? ME1 has four - differring by whether you let the Council die and whether you ended up with more Paragon or Renegade points. So far I've not played a Renegade Shepard to the end in ME2. Are the endings different, or are the endings determined only by the decision about the base (disregarding the one where Shepard dies - that doesn't count for me)?

Heh, this has to be one of the shortest Miranda support posts in this thread. BTW, is it my imagination or was there once a post consisting of:
Miranda
and nothing else.

I'm more of a cat person so of course I Miranda likes cats. Big ones. Maybe even those alien cat-like predators prowling the jungles of Pragia (which I just imagined into the ME universe). Needn't be exclusive, though. Maybe we could just say Miranda likes her pets big....er...no pun intended.jtav wrote...
I figure I'm entitled to have one thing in common with Ms. Lawson. I pick liking dogs.
I rarely use that line anymore, but I do agree. The scene does need lightening.Have decided I quite like "just trying to get you into bed" if only because I'm imagining Shep doing and saying anything to cheer her up at that point.

These are my favorite lines, too. I try to put in some variety, but it's hard to avoid selecting for the kiss once you know you can get it. It's so much better than the alternative.kraidy1117 wrote...
I also do the kiss dialog my self. Always say don't know, don't care and no promises.jtav wrote...
Well, she's proven in the past that she responds well to that sort of teasing/flirting "Wouldn't mind if you admired my body." I RP the kiss similarly. She's beating herself up. He distracts her by teasing her.

Yes. The standard tone for voiced playable characters seems to be a bit on the deadpan side. It works most of the time, but fails when the absence of emotion makes the character seem less lifelike or unfeeling. Anyway, I do imagine my Shepard more self-reflective, he just doesn't show it much. And I sometimes imagine alternative dialogue. For instance, at the scene with the merc you can throw out of the window. In my mind, it goes like this:kraidy1117 wrote...
Well when I play Shepard, my meotionas are his, thats how bioware built Shepard. They don't want to show too much emotion on Shepards part because this could break immersion for people.jtav wrote...
Game!Shep comes off as a bit of a one-dimensional action hero who is emotionally stunted (he was raised from the dead and he just sort of rolls with it?) and not given to self-reflection or subtlety. Not the sort of character I care for. And, because Shepard is more defined thane the Warden or Revan, it's harder for me to mold him into a character I like.
Merc: "I have nothing more to say"
(Shepard pushes the merc out of the window)
Shepard: (sighs) They never learn.
Tali: What was that for?
Shepard: You think I like it? I don't. But if you make a threat, better be prepared to follow through.
This is what I call being "tactically Renegade" instead of "uncaringly Renegade". Shepard does what he considers necessary, but all too often he doesn't like it. It makes for some interesting internal conflicts.

There's basically four - two for saving the base and two for destroying the base, depending if Shepard lives. There's not much difference between the two live ones besides the background. The endings where Shepard dies differ slightly. After Joker leaves from debriefing TIM, a hologram appears showing Cerberus ships approaching the Collector base (if Shepard chose to keep it obviously).

Ieldra, OTP=One True Pairing, The idea of markedly preferring a particular pairing, such as Shep/Miranda. As opposed to someone like me who enjoys a variety of Miranda pairings.

Woah...woah...instakill husks? Ok this woman might just replace Garrus as my #3.
But I am always soldier Shep. He gets by on guts and wits alone...and big guns...without any fancy toys.

Ok I will have two: male and female Shep. But obviously my main character is manshep.
I am debating whether to start my playthrough of Manshep again and whether or not to do some sort of AAR or something or just playthrough for fun. Both of my main ME2 runs are awaiting Bioware finishing their DLC or announcing an expansion or something. I suspect once ME3 gets officially announced they will probably stop developement on ME2 content.
But I can do the ME1 playthrough at any time. I guess I will start decide what to do soon, I only have a few days off before I have to start school again.

Hmm. Star Wars discussion... *goes away*
KOTOR is not really Star Wars. Great characters and compelling story lines and complicated moral decisions make it seem like a whole new setting.
Anyway this is Bioware we are talking about not some Lucas movie. I will probably not be playing TOR though, I will be a father by then and probably will not have time.

if you forego sleep, you can complete an ME1 playthrough in one day. The last one took me 19:30 hours with everything done (including collecting every single resource). Yeah not doing that. I will do a full monty: 40+ hour playthrough with everything done including the two DLC. That is the right way, the Valmy way, of doing a ME runthrough. Besides this will be my final runthrough of ME1.

You know I actually tried doing that a bit but really only one sort of Shepard interests me. I just have a concept of the character and I most enjoy being true to that. Well...except when I switch genders then it seems like a whole different person.
