Resigning makes a LOT more sense if you take her on Jack's mission. She sounds genuinely horrified.
If you take her on missions and talk to her and go through her romance and so forth the resignation is not a surprise. But she will do it even if you only interact with her the bare minimum...and then take her along for the final battle for some reason.

Bioware got lazy, but it makes alot more snece if you are romancing her or you befrined her. If you read the summary after her personal mission, she now trust Shepard a great deal.

I still say it would have made for better storytelling if she had turned on you if she was non-loyal and you destroyed the base. You'd then have to kill her. Beats "rocks fall, everyone dies *dodges rotten tomatoes*
As I said Bioware got lazy, she is going to die anyways, it would have been better if there was scene like Wrex in ME where if you did her personal mission you don't have to pass a charm or intimanate cheack, or if you are romancing you can bring her back with love(Bastila from KOTOR) then if yo can't calm her down, she turns on you and then you have to kill her.

Though her actual death scene really works for me, though I like to pretend it happened if she was romanced. The whole "dying in your arms" thing.
What?

I wouldn't have offered the player a way out. If she's not loyal, you have to kill her period.

No, you're absolutely right. It would have made for better storytelling. That way game "loyalty" would really mean something about loyalty, instead of serving as a "avoids death in battle" marker. It's the same for most of the other characters, only most of them can't pull a reason to betray you out of the hat as easily as Miranda. And if you don't want her to betray you, then, well, you *can* play her loyalty mission, after all, and defuse the conflict between her and Jack. It would all have been in the player's hands.jtav wrote...

About her death scene in the final battle....I don't want to see that ever again.

Seriously, I think my love for her is either less or entirely different from most. I don't mind treating her horribly in game or speculating on some unsavory things.

Youtube. If you've followed my posts you know I haven't played a "kill everyone" or even a "kill most of them" game yet. I might get to play a "kill all nonhumans and Jack" game, but Miranda? Never.kraidy1117 wrote...

I guess Shepard didn't survive....I hope he didn't promise Miranda not to die in that game....and btw, Jacob is also human and not Jack.kraidy1117 wrote...

No, Jacob is also human, and he is also not Jack. Which means, in my "kill all non-humans and Jack" game, Jacob will survive.kraidy1117 wrote...

Agree with Kraidy. Everyone besides Morinth is cool and I don't want them to die.
Hell, I don't even let Jacon die because simply without Jacob we would not have the priiiiize anymore
