Now there just has to be some way around the ''problem'' I tried playing female shep, but Miri ruined that for me aswell.
I wonder if we get to meet her sister again. I would like to see her interacting with Miri in ME3. The email from her made me smirk for some reason. If we happen to meet her again... Who would be voice acting her?

@Valmy: You can't really blame Chuck. Morgan was the one who ruined the evening, but if he hadn't the story would've taken a whole different turn. Casey would've ran in when they were already in act..... ''So I was correct about you being unable to keep your chocolate out of his peanut butter? Hahaha! Smile! *takes a photo with his mobile cellphone* ''
Honestly there would've not been any other alternative.
Well...true but for most of us we usually do not end up in a situation where a NSA agent is tracking us down.
Just saying...you end up in that situation Chuck was in once and you will regret it for a long time to come. When I was single I was looking for love, not 'just' getting laid or anything, but before every date I always made sure I was ready, that my apartment was clean and my bed made and I had all the necessary equipment, even if I didn't necessarily want that or planned to have it happen. You just never know how that whole animal attraction thing will work and you should always check to make sure your version of Morgan didn't sabotage you when you were not looking.
Just saying...wise advice to take away from that particular Chuck episode. My reaction to that scene was 'Oh Chuck...rookie mistake.' Though it worked out for him personally in that situation, but for Chuck his incompetence is often his saving grace...but not so for most of us in real life.

Yes, Tali's missions are both among the very best. But who is John Casey?Melrache wrote...
I have same ''problem'' Tali isn't that bad, but she seems more like a friend rather than someone my Shepard would romance, though her loyality quest is pretty sweet with the rally crowd thing. Even John Casey stood up for her!
Why that? Just because you can't have her? I agree that the femShep romance choices are pretty bad, but I have one who's a loner anyway and another who was with Kaidan which I continue in the hope they'll make him lose his timidity in ME3.Now there just has to be some way around the ''problem'' I tried playing female shep, but Miri ruined that for me aswell.
Yes, that email was sweet. Quite the sisters, these two. As for a VA for her, no idea. my level in the rpg skill "Current Affairs/People" is abysmal.I wonder if we get to meet her sister again. But Shepard would never listen....or the bad guys would show up while he was in the Normandy...

Only one scene so far. Page 117 of this thread.I don't really know if the idea comes across that Shepard through his "upgrades" by Cerberus and Miranda through her enhanced genes are what makes it possible for them to...well, read for yourself.Errol Dnamyx wrote...

Well with most identical twin sort of characters they usually have the same actor playing both twins. Yvonne could just shift her voice a tad to sound younger.

You know, I would like to see that. I like stories where love affairs
actually have a meaning within the story instead of being only a nice
embellishment. You can see in my fanfic that I see Shepard as Miranda as
exemplary for what humans can become within the context of the ME
universe. But think about this: what will those players get who romanced
another?
I'm sure Bioware will also make the other choices satisfying.
I just get this feeling that Bioware has a sort of cannonical view of the storyline and in it Miranda is Shepard's love interest. Her character and romance strike me as the most distinct of all the romantic options (ME1 and ME2).
(BTW, I have resigned myself to the fact that I will
be unable to play a game of ME2 as a maleShep without not romancing
Miranda. So, sorry Tali and Jack, it won't happen. Sorry Ash, it was
good while it lasted. Bur Miranda is Miranda, and there's no other like
her.)
You're not alone there. I'm just on my 3rd playthrough and I can't even imagine not romancing Miranda. To me, she completes my Shepard in a way that if I didn't romance her, it would leave a super massive black hole in his life and story, and me completely unsatisfied.

2. Yeah, because I can't have her and she is sweet even as female shep. That combined with the fact that I've always had problems with playing female characters in RPGs, well the result isn't enjoyable.
Now my only way to expirience new things would be to start from ME1 with no romance and with completely new class. I actually forgot that there are other classes than Soldier.

You know you can edit your ME1 flags in the game and start a new game from there? Basically, you need one ME1 endgame save and edit any choices in you like, in a roundabout way. I just did this with my new maleShep - I have only one maleShep from ME1 and didn't want to replay, so I edited things and reimported. After a few failed attempts it did actually work, and now I have an ME2 maleShep with no romance, Ashley dead and a few other changed ME1 choices.Melrache wrote...

You know everytime I get frustrated with how fast this thread is moving, and how I just cannot keep up with what everybody is doing and saying I just glance over at that Tali thread. It is going to be 1000 pages again in a day or two.
What I don't get is, how come they let that one get so big and yet chop others at 300 mark or something? I also don't understand the point in 'locking topics' but indicating it is ok to start a new one? I mean, if they wanting to stop such topics clogging the boards, surely it is best to allow one topic to remain rather than get people to create new ones?
The Tali threads are proof that the boards can handle it. So why stop the others?
Edit:
More Miri related, I have now decided that my Paragon Shep that was initially going to romance Tali but now romancing Jack but she ends up dead will post-mission fall in love with Miri. I figured seeing as my initial Miri-mance Shepherd is keeping the base, whilst I have got a few Paragon/Renegade Sheps that have Miri in squad and at least one of them in the final battle stating she resigns, I figured that I need to have one where her and Shep are a couple like I imagine a lot of you are.
The other reason for choosing this is because I've decided that up until ME3, my intended 'Marathon' Shep (play the 3 games back to back) will have zero romance in the first two games and then hopefully get a possible choice in ME3 if he wants.

Because the boards can't handle it. Whenever threads get too big the boards slow down and become laggy. They seem to underestimate the rabid Talimancers and don't check back often enough.Sir Ulrich Von Lichenstien wrote...

They certainly managed to pull me in. I used to play maleSheps only for completeness' sake. And yes, the connection of this particular romance to the main plot is distinctive, although I can see something similar with Tali.Sleepy Buddha wrote...

About the save: Yeah I know you can edit them, but not sure if its the same as experiencing the things. As I said before I rushed it. I finished ME1 in 18 hours or so, I did barely any of the side quests.
Not too sure if they are worth of a replay though. The epic music and cinematics might be though.

I finished ME1 in 19 hours with all sidequests *and* the collection quests. It was just a run on Casual, though, and it was a NG+ run so I didn't need XP and could kill everything from the Mako if it proved faster.Melrache wrote...

As for replay value, some sidequests have it, mostly for the dialog. For instance "Hostile Takeover", the outcome of which is also transferred to ME2.
