He said it will not be a big part, so most liekly it will be used to find side missions, and if it's the same as the patched scanining then I will not mind, scaninig is better now.

The patch does make it better but I just use the bonus resources you get for betting the game.

It's an interview with Casey. On the second page he mentions Miranda:

"But there are people who are totally in love with Miranda. She was a simpler character I think, but a lot of people really responded to her."

An interesting extract of the ME composer
interview :

With Miranda, her theme and
orchestration attempts to demonstrate her strength, but also her
vulnerable side, and a sadness that is deep inside her.

My, I find it humorous that it seems like the devs got Miri more than Casey did.  To me, I don't hate Jack, but she's very much a quintessential "Tsundere" in my book.  She has a dark past that keeps her guarded and then she completely breaks down and opens up eventually.  Miri can be classified less easily.  She's not nice but she's quite forthcoming about herself from the beginning, and basically typifies the "badass" attitude from beginning to end, while remaining emotionally dynamic.

Emotionally dynamic? Unlike many other characters who act either consistently (Grunt) or go through a consistent evolution of personality (Jack), Miranda's personality and character is written so that she gives different emotional responses depending on the situation.  You can't look at her at one point in the story, get a description of another moment, and accurately describe what her reaction will be.  Another emotionally dynamic character is Mordin, who also displays a wide range of emotions that aren't a mere progression.

SB, what can I say? His comments touched a
nerve. Feeds back into my fear that Miranda was created primarily to
serve as sex appeal and that aspect of her character will be dominant in
ME3.

If this happens in ME3, particularly for those of us who romanced Ash in the first game, I will be angry.  I can see the devs making you choose between the two, and placing Miri as the renegade option, which would infuriate me.

Well seeing as Casey said, I won't be surprised if they do get rid of her character and just make her popular for her ass <_< and I consider Miri a Paragade.

I think that if they present you with a 'pick me or her' option it will most likely be both of them in the middle on either side, just like Ash and Liara in ME1.

I suppose there's a touch of irony in my paranoia, considering that I've been one of the most vocal supporters of her having an active sex life and using sex on missions when necessary. I cheerfully pair her with a variety of characters in my head, including other women. She's an easy character to write sex scenes for. But if she is presented as the "bad girl" fling who lured you away from Ash/Liara, well my reaction won't be pretty.

Not really Jtav,it makes sencet hat she has used sex in her past and she likes it, but for Casey to imply thats the only reason she was made for and that she is simple is why I am pissed off.

Me too.

Too answer your question on the Liara thread, yes I'm still planning on doing the Miranda/Thane. This has just kind of eaten my brain right now. Ironically, Shep working for Cerberus in exchange for reviving a dead Miranda was the first idea I ever came up with. But alive and disillusioned Miranda is ever so much more interesting.

I don't agree with this, but I can understand your opinion. We don't know how she used her assets in mission, so it depends how each one of us perceive Miranda. To me, she doesn't sleep if she doesn't want to.

I don't think it will happen.
And remember she can be the only LI, if you didn't romance Ash or Liara.

Yannkee, I like your new Miri pic :D

and about her past, I do believe Miri has used sex in the past to get stuff, however there is a difference between causal sex and se that means something. I do believe that Miri has only had sex with three people in her life that meant something to her and it was not buisness or work. As you said Yannkee, we all perceive Miri diffrently and thats one of her strong points about her.

I wouldn't even call it casual sex as much as getting the job done, And it was never her preferred tool. Most of the time she never went beyond flirting. I do think she's had a number of not-very-serious relationships with partners she found interesting. Those were never intended to be lasting and her heart was never engaged. Sex is something she enjoys, but she doesn't need it. She appears to have held up just fine during the Lazarus Project, and I'd be shocked if she was doing much beyond working, eating, and sleeping.

I have trouble imagining Miri/Liara. Miri/Legion sure! They were both engineered, so they have that in common... :P

I fully support the Miri/Liara fic, just so you know.

I still think they have a lot in common and that's a good thing. Both are very intelligent and independent, which are my favorite qualities in women.

Yeah, I could see it, Legion is alot more...lively then the blue wall that needs a comic to get over.
