I like this, no matter how I try in ME2, I always wound up romancing Miri, always, nly romanced Jack and Tali once because I refused to talk to her after her personal mission.

It was difficult, I missed Miri alot, I do like Jack nad love herf romance but I just always end up with Miri, have yet to have a playthrugh where I stayed loyal to Ash

As for choosing between Miranda and Ashley, I can see it coming, but I do not think it will be restricted by P/R points. Apart from that, choosing Miranda may be considered more Renegade than Paragon, but why would I mind? It can be argued that compared to Ashley, Miranda does indeed have more Renegade aspects - if you stress what she'd done for Cerberus and Ashley's "straight arrow" morality.

I would mind because of the general effect that being a paragade has on gameplay.  I'm not a fan of losing loyalty and the like.

(1) One Renegade decision doesn't make you Paragade.
(2) Most situations where you can't select a charm/intimidate option are easy to avoid even as a Paragade. I've had some problems, but never with loyalty situations once I know how to do it. Mainly, play the relevant loyalty missions early, and for Tali/Legion, make sure you've gotten all P/R points you can from other missions before you go to the derelict Reaper. If you play Paragade, that usually means you P bar is full and your R bar at about 65-75%.

Speaking of fanfic, I got my paws on a partial Redemption script. Going to have to take some liberties, but nothing horrible. Hope my big AU element works. (Liara shares some of her memories of Shep via mind meld in attempt to help Miranda reconstruct him/force someone at Cerberus to see him as a a person. A Redemption script? I'm not sure what that actually is....

But the setup sounds interesting.

As for Miranda fanfic, I never knew how much the fan fiction scene was dominated by these cheap romance stories until I skimmed some of the ME2 fanfic. Fortunately my mental image of Miranda is stable enough that it's not tainted by them. Not that I don't like a good erotic scene, but the degree to which people are obsessed by sex, and that clouds their percepions, never ceases to leave me dumbfounded.

I think the alternatives might make it harder. Both Jack and Tali are great characters, but I can't imagine a Shepard who would fall in love with them. Tali's like a little sister, and Jack, well, she could need a friend but she's not ready for a relationship. 

The only thing I want to do, and haven't managed yet, is a game where Ashley is Shepard's one and only love. Miranda keeps undermining that intention. Bad girl!

Yeah Jack seems like the kinda unstable element in the relationship, i just can't see her being able to have a propper relationship without mass violence and fights and then there isnt a relationship. As for Tali, its like you said shes the kinda little sister Character i mean in ME1 she was on her right of passage, her coming of Age so depending on how you see it she was maybe 16 - 18 in human years - thats just my guess anyway- and in ME2 two years have passed so Tail could be either 18-20 while Shepard is 29 or 31, depending on if you think he's aged whislt being well, erm, dead. I think its the link that Shepard has with Tali from her past, knowing her since childhood makes her the kinda little sister or whatever you want to see it as. For Ash i think that her and my Shep got on really well, but Miri is just better in every way and shape, shes kinda like my Sheps ideal woman, so i'm glad he found her but i still think in ME3 Sheps gonna feel guilty trying to let Ash down, even though its not his fault he died and she torn his heart out,he is still gonna hate it when Ash has to learn that what they had will remain in the past.

Ieldra, I begged someone to type up all of Miranda's dialogue in Redemption (turns out she's a competent pilot, on top of her other skills). It's not the focus on romance that I object to, but that it's so badly done and Miranda always seems to lose her personality. Especially bad since it's possible to have your cake and eat it too. Sex that reveals character? Whoever heard of that?



Am I the only one who can successfully resist Miranda in playthroughs?
