Miranda's romance. Is it more complex than Jack's?

I like the kiss. Thought I would hate it. It seems pretty clear that Shepard starts teasing her to distract her from beating herself up. She also struck me as more playing along than annoyed. We've seen how Miranda acts when angry or annoyed. That's not it. She knew what was going on.
Yeah she liked being teased and challenged like that. That is what made it hot. Miranda is an adult and does not need to be coddled and doesn't like being kissed up to.
Even the Paragon response in that scene comes across as...um...what is the word I am looking for here...honest and poignant rather than some sort of vapid sappy compliment.

Yeah, and I'm impressed at how little drooling there is on the thread, especially these days. People always seem surprised at how interesting we find her. Though I do think she's stunningly take-your-breath-away beautiful and appreciate a good Miranda pic.

This is actually a new one. I'm not sure anyone has captured that expression before.

I do not think Miranda's romance is particularly complicated or difficult no. But I cannot speak for Jack's...I know it is complex to keep from having Jack think you are in a romance.

it was awesome, and the teasing to bring her out of her self-loathing was excellent, and fit's nicely with how i play shep and miranda's character, too. (i seem to be a rarity in being mainly naturally-renegade)

I don't find any of the romances complex. Tali and Jack's just happen to feature elements I hate in romance, notably a massive power imbalance. Miranda is much more your equal.

I do wish she had real armor (granted sexy Miranda style armor) and practical gear (that she looks fantastic in) for the missions it just gets silly...but then that goes for most of the ME2 joinable NPCs.
The only thing I find annoying is her breath mask. I can accept that her suit is some sort of hyper-advanced durable fibre, but she needs to put on a freaking mask when she goes into certain situations.

I love virtually everything about her appearance. Her hair, her skin tone, her body, her accent, and her high heels....

Yes, there is that. I read a lot of books, and play some games, and have for many years. Occasionally I meet characters therein I like very much. But I've never considered myself a fan of a fictional character before. Miranda is really special. The strange thing is that I, being male, actually sometimes identify with her instead of Shepard. On the other side, it's no problem to mentally switch to Shepard and play her romance....but I admit I never really noticed them to the extent that I eventually did before I warmed up to her as a character. Also there is only so many times I can sheepishly admit I find a computer generated character really attractive.

It is a problem for everybody not named Garrus, Tali, or Grunt sadly (well...there is Legion but it doesn't breathe).

Collider, I'd be glad to discuss my misgivings over the other romances elsewhere, maybe in the character group.

Casey Hudson's interview was debated extensively here, as you can imagine. Apart from the infamous "Miranda is simpler", there's nothing in there except that "a lot of people responded to her". Doesn't say much.
About Miranda and the spy trade:
Jacob's the brawn and Miranda the brain? Quite correct - what do you think a spy is, as opposed to an assassin or a commando? Someone with skills at dealing with people and information gathering, maybe with a bit of breaking-and-entering and disguise added. Miranda has a lot more than that, but that is the core of the spy trade.
Miranda's the everything. Nuker, defence stripper, team buffer. Really, its quite fantastic.

I don't think Bioware gets lazy except as so far as they feel like it would be a good use of their limited resources.
I do think if they can do these outift packs though, they can do squad armor.

I would like that. I am interested in seeing what they have in store for the rest of the characters. I think Miranda having some armor would be a good idea. I'm not sure if I should be expecting it though.Valmy wrote...

Its true, i keep her in my squad throughout the entire game, more or less, she really is a great all round team mate.

sadly i was ill for that....
and valmy: squad armour is redundant with individual outfits that are far better (whatever their perceived practicalities).

Disagree. You can add armor to these characters and still maintain a unique appearance, without feeling redundant.Jebel Krong wrote...

Yes and no, i mean just imagine Miri clad in heavy armour, it just wouldnt look right, but then again seeing someone else in armour, say jacob for instance would actully look quite good, i think it just depends on which character and what type of armour and clothing you want on them.
