I think it's important to remember that Miranda changes over the course of the game. I think the Miranda of Lazarus Station and Freedom's Progress - and some points after - would have responded differently.
But Miranda comes alive to her emotions over the course of her loyalty quest and certainly over the course of the romance. I think this changes her. If you choose to see it in this context it's not so OOC.

I'm glad it helps Ieldra. I've never thought about it, but I can understand why you might worry that it is out of character.

I agree.
I was in the train the last 2 hours and I could read the whole conversation. It was very interesting to read the different points of view.
Miranda is definitly not a simple character.

No, not simple. It's interesting how many different views we can have on this character. There's a lot of "this, but also that" with Miranda. We just emphasize different things. The fact that I'm still welcome here should tell you a lot
I would love for casey to sit down and talk with all of us, he may even understand about Miri a bit more then

Eh, as long as she's IC in ME3, Casey's allowed his preferences. Saying she's simpler doesn't make it so. Miranda's not everyone's "type."
Well those people's types are WRONG!

And Valmy, now now, they’re not wrong. They simply live woefully wasted lives.

I refuse to acknowledge such a reality!!
Uh, so seriously... I dunno... writing reports... the old yo-yo... stabbing the voodoo doll of her father she keeps under her pillow while shrieking, "Is this good enough for you, Daddy?!" ...

I've now finished my "personal canon playthrough". Observations: At the first part of the conversation about the base, I chose the middle option because I found it appropriate to have to think about this and not make a fast decision, as well as give TIM a hard time convincing me. Probably because I chose the middle option, Miranda didn't make her "betrayal" comment and the other squadmate (Legion) stayed silent too. That went very well.Nightwriter wrote...

Later, I talked with everyone about the decision, and MIranda does indeed seem more doubtful than dead set against it, and ends with "...I hope what we find in the base is worth it".
What I was worried about was that Miranda seemed to make a fast judgment based on mostly emotion in such an important matter. Instead, she seems more undecided, which is also new for her, yes, but in line with her character development.

-Writing a letter to Oriana that is going to be sent if she doesn´t stop it in the next few days.
If she has a good and friendly relationship to Shepard, they could just sit down, have a little drink and talk about what they might do, if they come out of it alive.
What she is not going to do is write another report...

I can see her sitting on her chair in front of the window in the back of her office, thinking about the opportunities she'd have missed if she was going to die on the mission. And telling herself, if I survive, I'm going to do exactly this and that before the next battle... And here the follow-up question: what could that be?
(uh, that was a grammatically difficult sentence....I hope it's correct)
@VampireCommando:
Poor Casey Hudson. He's never going to hear the last of this.

Actually, this time I meant my insistance on playing up the femme fatale and spy aspects of her character and downplaying the romance. Exactly the opposite of most people, or so it seems. Not to mention my pairing preferences.
I like the idea of her making a list. *stores away for later use*

I like those aspects, as I'm sure you've noticed. So I don't only not mind, I appreciate it. It shows that Miranda is also interesting without her romance. Ironically, exactly that makes her more interesting to romance...jtav wrote...

It's a strange loop. Feeds back into itself. Magical, isn't it?
Actually I generally grumble at the suggestion that Miranda's spy/job status and her romance must compete or be focused on only one at a time.
They're pieces of the same whole for me and I believe they should be balanced. If done right they complement each other and make the overall experience much better.

Ieldra, what exactly does Miranda say that you thought was based upon emotion, about the collector base?
