Ah, that may it. IIRC Fraps works only on DirectX screens, not on the normal OS screen (at least, I've never seen an FPS overlay on an OS screen but always in games). Start up Fraps (I always keep it running) and then ME2, it will probably work.Jebel Krong wrote...
none that i know of - i have an alienware m17x, as spare as i can reasonably make it to make sure games run as well as they can on it (it's not my general-purpose machine). didn't check me2 controls as i loaded fraps first on it's own to test it, and it didn't work. tbh i didn't have much time more than t install it and boot it up, though.

ah, thanks, i shall try again later if i have time. don't like the idea of all bmps (file-sizes!) but i'm not gonna buy the whole damn program just to screencap one game... sigh i wish me2 was as moddable as me1 for capping purposes....

Shadedclan, there have been 14 posts since your last post 9 hours ago. Is it really too much to ask to read them yourself?
Harsh, man.

Ugh, never ask me for names. My mind goes crazy like a machine gun.
And you didn't miss much, vamp, there's a good Miranda/Liara excerpt a page back.

It's been rather quiet. I wonder where the 1077 members of Miranda's fan group have gone.VampireCommando wrote...

You might want to have a look at the timeline of events in Miranda's life I've posted on page 1720 and see if you have anything to add.

Wow, nice work on that, i think you have everything aswel, theres certainly nothing i can think of to add to that, i wonder, do you think the timeline of Miri's life should go on the front page, in the Miri memoranda as it were?

It's in part based on speculation, though rather plausible speculation IMO. But if you think it's OP-worthy, tell DarthReavus, I'm not against it.VampireCommando wrote...

What has Miranda done between 2166 and 2183? We have absolutely no data on that. We know she was working for Cerberus, but that's all. While I think she finished her higher education after getting Oriana away while doing covert work for Cerberus, later her abilities - a combination of science, tech, spy stuff and combat - were most suited for corporate espionage, maybe getting some advantages for Cerberus' front businesses. Who else is thrilled by the idea that she might have had a run-in with Gianna Parasini?

She seems to have done a good deal of work as an information broker/informant/handler. She almost certainly has led small strike teams on multiple occasions. Some undercover work, but she's not that fond of it.

Me, too. Even so, I think we've got the best of the possible options: "almost unkillable". I think the devs wanted her to survive, but enforcing that in a game about a suicide mission would somehow defeat the point.jtav wrote...
I wish Miranda was unkillable. I have a few ME3 ideas but they require her to play a fairly large role.

It's one of Strikor2115's pieces of Miranda fan art, IMO the best Miranda fan art there is. He's made a few of them, then vanished. Here's his famous Vanity Fair cover:Sand King wrote...

Then again, all this talk of ME3 being "standalone" and making it accessible to new players makes me nervous.

A little known thing about Mass Effect
2 is that while everyone knows about the save game connectivity and how
well that works, I think that overshadows the fact that we really
designed Mass Effect 2 to be a good entry point for new players. So
that's why we don't give all these choices about what's happened
before.
Is that something you're planning for Mass Effect 3 as well? You want it to be another smooth entry point?
Absolutely. We like to have this continuity and its payoff, but we also
want each game to allow people to enter into the series at that point.
If you haven't played either game we still want you to be able to play
Mass Effect 3.
I've also seen reference elsewhere to each game being standalone.

Well they said that 2 ME2 too.... But we all know it cannot be consider as a "standalone" game.
