This thread needs a topic. How about how this, how is your Shepard different from Miranda?

Well one way, my Shepard is different from Miranda is that although Miranda has some moral guidelines, My Shepard is a pure moral nihilist.

Heh...now we're getting into interesting territory. Let me ask: is your Shepard a moral nihilist in the sense that he believes no moral statements are true, or is he a moral nihilist in the sense that he doesn't accept or follow any moral principles for himself? In my interpretation, Miranda would share the former with him but not the latter.

Hmmmm, this is really hard, because if i wanted to explain this i would end up writing a massive wall of text, and i dont wanna do that and i'm sure none of you want to read it either, this is actully really hard to answer, give me some time, i might come up with something.

Okay why not this: What's the probability that Miranda is a pure moral nihilist?

A moral nihilist in the latter sense of what I wrote earlier, would, for instance, not hesitate to torture a child for information if that served his purposes and no repercussions were to be expected. A moral nihilist in the former sense would not accept any prescriptive statement that said torturing children was wrong, but would still probably avoid doing so under any but the most extreme circumstances because it felt wrong to him personally.

I still have a headache on what you just wrote. But I understand. At least I won't look like a fool admitting I didn't knew moral nihilism. Anyway, would Miri even succumb to both?

I have to say he doesn't accept it or regard it as true, but he understands the need for it. Human nature at it core is chaos and uncontrolled chaos doesn't benefit anyone, there has to be order. I must say at some levels my Shepard can understand and agree with the reapers and dare I say sympathize with them. But, sense he's on the other side of the fence he has to destroy them. He also doesn't understand Mordin's regret about the genophage, to my Shepard it was just genocide no big deal, and Mordin just wasting ten years in rundown clinic. To my Shepard its life or death, are you going to let morality ruin your life?

No regrets about the necessity of genocide (not that the genophage is genocide)? Then I think Miranda is indeed different. She believes that to a certain degree the ends justify the means, so she would agree that the genophage was necessary, but at the same time she'd regret the necessity. Not to the extent that she'd spend a decade "atoning" (if that interpretation of Mordin is correct, which I don't believe it is), but she would be sad that it was necessary, and the source of that sadness would be a moral intuition that all life is precious and in principle, should be preserved.

You don't get other threads badmouthing you, this one certainly doesn't i was just trying to stress the fact that Miri was talking to you guys more than she was us, and well. . . we are her support thread, it just made me a little bit jelous and i was trying to expand on my point - if done incorectly, for which i apoligize-  about her talking to you guys more than us.

The only real power you guys have is the abitly to invade other threads and spam them to death, but thats just severe trolling if you think about it, and then there is the T-Bomb, which has no effect on my computer as it eats them for breakfast, so technically speaking, you have no power, just uber trolling/ spamming capabilities. Just telling it how it is:police:

Too true, that's the only real gripe I have about her character, but I do understand way she's like that. It has to do a lot with character backgrounds. Which is also one of the differents between My Shepard and Miranda. Miranda has regret, I assume,it because she doesn't want to be like her father. I still think she has BPD. My Shepard is different first off he's a Narcissist boarderline on Malignant only differents he has some control of his gratifications. He's also a sadist, his most dangerous and reckless characteristic is his messiah/god complex only seen pre me1, pre me2 death.
