She might have tears in her right eye, but not in her left. If you want to interpret it that way, OK. gutty47 seems to think the same, for he mentions tears in his Miranda dialogue tree (see the "no promises" scene).

My cousin is visiting from the Naval Academy. Only gamer in the family so we chatted about ME2. He hates Miranda. Loves Tali. I'm starting to think it's impossible to like both. I'm strange. But I don't like Miranda's romance so maybe it sorta counts?

And, no, I haven't even been writing. Got sucked into an ME playthrough Er, research?

I dont not like Tali - if that makes any sense - i just find her a kind of mediocore character to me, she just doesnt have that wow factor that Miri posses, but i'd still be upset if she copped it in ME3 but no where near on the level of i would if Miri, Garrus, Wrex, Legionor joker died.

And I like Miranda, but not as LI (a lot of this might have something to do with the fact that I abandoned my first playthrough because I just couldn't wait to romance her--had I initially played MaleShep I'd be more positive, I think.) Haven't played Tali's to judge. Could go either way.

I started off playing ME2 liking Tali's romance more than Miranda's, but that's because I liked the continuity of her character from ME1.  I still like Tali's romance the best, to me it's the sweetest romance, plus the "non-romance" story options like how you can talk to her during her loyalty mission just adds to it.
That being said, I've always liked Miranda as a character, and lately I've been more and more interested in her romance plotline.  I still prefer Tali's, but I'm doing a playthru to romance Miri, and so far, I'm liking it quite a bit more than I thought I would at first.
In short:  Yes, it's possible to like both Tali and Miranda as LI's.  I'm proof, even if I may be in the minority.

I must regretfully inform you that your scientific proof regarding Mirandas superiority is questionable, at best, and she is indeed just # 2 when it comes to awesomeness.

I could probably go into any LI support thread and offer praise for the character in question. It's when the fans in that thread start talking about the ways in which their character is better than the others that I get kind of uncomfortable.

I too like almost all the characters but it's rather annoying when their threads flare up into inter-LI flaming.
