She calls Saren a "turian bastard" in ME1. In order to hear her say it, you must not ask her about Benezia before finding a way past the barrier curtain. Then she says it when you walk up behind her.

Right, then I'm going to have to replay that scene... sad it's so easy to miss. I always cover all the dialogue I can, usually.

Also, I was massively disappointed that there was no interaction between Liara and Miranda in ME2, which is especially egregious considering how their relationship developed at the end of Redemption. They became pretty well acquainted, and had a mutual respect for each other. Miranda even placed her hand on Liara's shoulder to try to comfort and reassure her.

Wtf. I did not know that. And they acknowledge nothing of this in ME2? That is scandalous.

It is scandalous. *fumes* Now do my shipping preferences make a bit more sense?

To be fair, Liara doesn't acknowledge anyone whatsoever. Just Shepard. I imagine that may be fixed with the Liara DLC.

And I'm pretty sure you need ovaries to fully appreciate the awesomeness that is Thane.

Maybe. Ever since I tried his romance, I've been fighting the temptation to replay that femShep without it, keeping her single for the whole of ME1 and ME2. Don't take this the wrong way, I very much appreciate him as a character, but there are several aspects that make him hard to connect to:
(1) He's not human
(2) His dualistic spirituality.
(3) The atonement theme.
He's a character I can empathize with to a surprisingly high degree, but still I put so much of myself into my femSheps that they all prefer to keep their distance from him, in spite of the empathy.

Better character interaction is something I'm really hoping for in game 3, jtav, particularly between Liara and Miranda. It so irked me when I brought Miranda with me to the Liara meeting and they said nothing.

I haven't read the comics (yet), so it doesn't seem quite as strange to me. But in the light of events there, some acknowledgement of each other would be fitting. At the least. I'd have expected Miranda to put a comment or two in during the conversation about the Shadow Broker on Ilium.

i really hope they don't create a DLC for just one character. if they did a 'romance pack' with some kind of story/mission(s) with your LI, i would have no problem with her (or any me1 LI) being included in that, but i wouldn't want to buy a dlc for a character i care nothing about.

Honestly i like Miris and Garrus's, thats it, i don't hate the others, i just think that those romances are the best written, and it happens to be there my two favirote characters, :)

Funny Miranda is my romance and Garrus is my bromance. Is it just me or do a lot of Miranda fans (like me) also have Garrus as one of their favorite characters (like me again)?

The DLC in question - the Liara DLC, also has to do with the Shadow Broker.

Everyone loves Garrus. I'd most likely put Miranda, Tali & Jacob fans as being the biggest supporters of Garrus (aside from Garrus fangirls lawl).

Do Liara fans feel the same? I heard from a few people who have listened to the audio files that they aren't pleased.

Some people are actively turned off by excessive "cool." Not to mention the drooling. I prefer ccolder, more subtle characters that are more difficult to like. Like Miranda.

I can understand why, Garrus tries too hard to be cool.In the end someone has to be Robin.

My brother thinks Garrus is just a dork trying to be cool (remember Garrus is one of my favorite characters so don't direct your anger at me). I found it quite easy to like Miranda. Now, Ashley Williams is a very difficult person for me to like (I can't stand her). Like I said though, everybody's mileage varies.

I like Miranda as a character. On a personal level? We'd kill each other.

Interesting. I do not find Miranda difficult to like. I'd get along very well with her in RL. Romance? Well, probably not. Too demanding. But that's what stories are for.^_^

With gunfire, knives, or farming equipment? Joking aside, I also like her as a character but in real life I don't know. I would probably would want to put a bomb up that *** of hers.

nah - he's chewie - there's even a homage to star wars with him if you take him to the citadel with thane's loyalty mission.

garrus was not cool in me1, in me2 he was totally cool.

Guns. Quicker that way. Miranda and I have profoundly different ways of looking at the world.

And I'm going to make it my personal mission to write an interesting Liara. And Thane.

Quick question: how tall is Miranda (with heels) relative to FemShep?

Those audio files floating around are most likely just files cut from ME2, not potential DLC files. It is believed that Liara (and the SB) was planned to have a larger role in ME2 before they decided to do the comic book and relegate her role to that medium.

I'm assuming that if we get Liara related DLC, they will record all new voice files, and those will be scrapped.

FemShep is taller by about 5 cm, I'd say.
