Doesn't it get boring seeing the whole thing over and over again? Like for the 50th time?

Maybe it'll get boring the 50th time. As of now, it's the 8th, and still good.

All right, picture spam follows....someone asked for Miranda wallpapers a few hours ago. None of these are my work, but I archived them for better reference:

Character pic bombs are always great...except when there's hundreds of them.

Who is this Shadow you speak of? Is he some kind of apparition?

During my previous playthroughs of ME2, I didn't like Miranda that much, mostly due to the Cerberus association. I figured that even if she stayed, I'd want to replace her as my second-in-command (probably sticking either Garrus or Liara in her place).

Recently, I decided to do a "proper" playthrough of ME and import it, as opposed to the rather hurried runthrough I did just after ME2 came out. This time, I found myself growing to like her. At the end of the game, she stood by me as I destroyed the Collector base.

Miranda has earned more than a place at my side in ME3. She's earned her position as second-in-command.

Yup, thats what I love about Miri. You are made to hate her at first but then grow to love her.

I'm not sure I can stomach given the base to Cerberus anymore, not with their long record of incompetence and cartoon villainy. Miranda's the only decent project lead they have.

Cartoon villainy I see only in what they did to Toombs. But the incompetence is striking. It also doesn't add up. They must have gotten a few things right to get the power they apparently have, and even an organization like Cerberus can't afford the death of so many specialists. Also, EDI says Cerberus has three cells with 150 people. That can't be true - elsewhere it's said the science team on the derelict Reaper was almost a hundred strong (accounting for the number of Husks). You don't send almost half of your staff into such a situation. TIM might be ruthless, but he has a strategic mind and would plan for the possibility of failure. I guess someone took what Miranda said and interpreted it wrong - she said Cerberus has three divisions - poltical, military, scientific - separated into a number of cells. If any one of the three divisions had 150 people each, that would be more believable. I wonder what we'll see in ME3 - which parts of the information we've got will turn out to be misinformation.

During the lead up to love scene you're given the option to reassure her that you'll all survive and Saren will be defeated. She dismisses you, says she isn't looking for comfort and acknowledges the possibility Saren has already won. It makes for an interesting contrast to "promise me you won't die." I think Niket may be part of a pattern. She lets someone past her emotional barriers and makes herself vulnerable. They either die or betray her in some way. Either way, she gets hurt. By the time you're in a position to romance her, she's emotionally battered and wondering how much more she can take. She is afraid she might start caring for someone.

She doesn't want to be emotionally vulnerable and keeps her distance. I always wonder why people find that so unusual - almost pathological sometimes. To me it seems completely rational, and the way so many people easily make emotional connections without really thinking about what they're getting into, almost incomprehensible.

btw: I was able to continue my story of Miranda's running away from her father for a page or two. Can you believe I have trouble with making Miranda get through the security system of her father's data vault? :(

Yeah, the game certainly tries to make players dislike her at first. Epic failure as far as I'm concerned. I was fascinated right from the first meeting when she shot Wilson.

LOL same. I was intrested in her since Bioware introduced her. At last a character not given to you on a silver plater!

Dou you refer to what I said about my story? It's not a question of competence, but of circumstance. A plausibility conflict, if you want: a believable security system combined with plot constraints leads to certain difficulties.

The data vault is an isolated system (no network access) in a room with heavily armored walls and closed-circuit environmental control (no easy access through ventilation shafts etc.). Miranda needs to get data out of it without having to go there in person. She's in a hurry and emotionally unbalanced. Difficult enough?
