Garrus is a dead man. This game is doubling as refresher for the sake of the Liara/Miranda story, so I'm playing it as Liara already having moved on (your "kissing a stranger") scenario. Liara will get a faithful FemShep, and Miranda will get a single one.

Reminds me I have to replay ME1 from Virmire and the whole of ME2 with one of my maleSheps. I forgot I had to leave Ashley behind for my maleShep to be uncontestedly single in ME2.

Yeah, that's happening right now with Tali and Liara. If I pick Tali, I'll play for an hour, then go back and pick "Just want to be friends". Then play 10 seconds, and restart, and re-load. I'm only able to play the game if I just don't do anything till the near the end. Fem-shep is a little easier to play, since Tali can't be romanced. It's really hard to choose between them after reading the comic.

I usually recommend using a die roll to decide in these situations. If you aren't willing to subject your fate to a die roll, you have already chosen in your mind and only need to admit it to yourself.

Edit:
In most of my ME1 games Kaidan dies, for the simple reason I find Ashley more useful. I very much prefer the more focused classes and found the ME1 LI characters not so very attractive in general that I found myself unwilling to live without them. Ashley, Liara and my (still single) Engineer femShep were my dream squad in ME1.

I've heard that before, Ieldra, except it was flipping a coin. I suspect Miranda would just edge out. But I prefer to spare myself the agony. At least I've suppressed the urge to romance Miranda this time. The Talimance will proceed as planned. Knowing that I have a suitable Shep waiting in the wings helps.

Perhaps we should start a new one. Something different: a fan thread restarting from page 1 without being forced to do so by a shutdown. Has some style IMO. Only wouldn't work - people would continue to post in the longer thread. Maybe we should request a shutdown.

Hey hey, not so fast. No Evil Plan is implemented in 15 minutes.
I'd say we give ourselves time to think until tomorrow, say 14:00 UTC, and if none of the remaining regulars has any objection, I'll give it a try. Maybe this even brings DarthReavus back and we don't have to do it after all.

I have to say that romancing Kaidan has the definite advantage that Miranda isn't competition in ME2. And he's actually quite interesting. Needs to be a bit more forceful, though. I do, however, very much resent the photoshopped pictures with his head stuck on a photographed body they like to post in the Kaidan thread. Am I the only one who finds that seriously creepy? Almost put me off him.

I think he would benefit from a few rough edges, yes. They should have, IMO, had him recall the stories behind all of his medals. Chakwas tells Shepard that Kaidan is remarkably well decorated, and we learn that Kaidan hasn't lost anyone under his command, but we never get an indication as to why or how he has so many achievements. That's lot opportunity.

I also think that Ashley is better than Kaidan in the platonic friendship department. I think that contributes to Ashley's relative popularity over Kaidan. Ashley is a bit more close to a non-romance Shepard.

I saw them. Yea, not my cup of tea. But I won't judge. I just turn off images as whenever I take a look at the Kaidan thread :innocent:

All of them? Not so, I think. Jack's thread is mostly discussion, and mostly interesting, the Liara thread has nice screenshots and some good fan art, as has Ashley's IIRC.

All of them? Not so, I think. Jack's thread is mostly discussion, and mostly interesting, the Liara thread has nice screenshots and some good fan art, as has Ashley's IIRC.

My bad then, i tend not to go into the other support threads apart from this one, as i have no need, but never the less we've all herd the stories lol.
