kraidy, if we do that, the new OP will be impractically long. It needs to be shorter, if anything, though I doubt that will be possible. And it should be a central hub to find Miranda information instead of a collection of information you must spend half an hour to search to find what you want. It will already be a challenge to add the stuff we all think should be added without making it all very impractical.

Here's the plan (assuming we get the thread ownership change):
Additions:
(1) gutty's dialogue wheel (link only, no embedded excerpts for now)
(2) Yankee's tribute video (embedded, it really is *the* Miranda tribute video)
(3) Thread-internal link to a Miranda FAQ once I've written the first draft. Links to related debates within the separate FAQ post.
(4) Link to the Miranda section of the Mass Effect wiki.
(5) There was something two weeks ago or so I have forgotten...

Outsourcing:
(1) The lists of sig links and and Miranda meme picture links should be put into a separate post, accessible through a thread-internal link in the OP. Reason: they are rarely used any more, and not so interesting for people who're looking for Miranda information.

Removal:
(1) The nachos picture.
(2) Stanley Woo's shutdown notice of the first thread.

Everything else should stay as it is, maybe with one or the other element moved a bit for better structure, although the OP is pretty good as it is.

I mentioned above that I'm going to write a Miranda FAQ. I'm taking suggestions for questions that should be included.

As a suggestion - for the bits we don't want to have in the OP - outsourced or similar - we could always create a thread in the discussion part of the group, and link to it there. Label it OP stuff or similar, but also create a back up of the OP there so when this (or any subsequent) thread gets locked, we've got it all backed up elsewhere and don't need to try all sorts of tricks to copy & paste the OP from the locked thread.

Group discussions have restricted formatting options, so backing up the OP there won't work. I have archived the OP code in its current version and I'll put the file on my domain, then post a link in the group.

Some of the FAQ should be directed at the common (mis)perceptions of Miranda - she's cold hearted, she's just fan service, the engine room scene, etc.  Condensing or reworking of some of the bits of the Manifesto might help here.
I doubt we'll convince everyone - haters will hate, other people just don't like the introduction or the engine room scene, but hey. It's worth a try!

Fanfic links are good. There are a few already in the current OP. Shepard is optional, but Miranda should not be derailed.

And I'm going to request a change of thread ownership first. That would be the best solution. 90 minutes to go...

As far as I'm concerned, this thread exists, among other things, to tell people that Miranda is awesome and why, and correcting common misperceptions is a part of that. I would prefer to draw new fans in instead of shutting everyone else out.

@all:
Is there any in-game reference for Miranda's age. I try to recall why I "know" that she's 35...

Why not post them here? Then we can all read them first. Yours, too, if you ask me. We'll have to to see if the list gets too long and has to be put in a separate post, but I think there aren't as many fanfics of Miranda as of some other characters, and as for good ones...

Just logged on, i see were still in this thread, but our plans for a new thread our in motion (evil laugh) muhahahahaha, and Ieldra is going to be our new Overlord, i mean Emperor no thats not the word i'm looking for either, hmm well its good to see that Ieldra is going to be the threads new leader, one way or another, can't think of anyone better fot the job really. But lets just see how long it takes our plan to actully starts, have we come up with a new name yet?

I've been thinking of adapting my sig text: "Miranda Lawson - our favorite woman in the galaxy". I'd like to put more of a qualifier for Miranda in the title, but either it's too generic or so specific that some people won't like it.
