btw as we were speaking about Tali, maybe someone say sth smart in topic : "I honestly don't know why everyone loves Tali" of course without hate etc.
I know exactly why so many people love Tali. She is sweet and geeky and has an exotic accent.
She's very endearing, but to my Shep she was more like a sister.
I love Tali, but I'm not in love with her.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Sorry some idiot ruined it for you.
On the subject of Heavy Rain, there is a character in it called John Sheppard, one less 'p' and it would have been even funnier.

My Shep also treated her like a sister. She seems so young and unexperienced xD

Yeah, I love Tali but my Shepard needs a strong woman, someone who he can call an equal. Miranda fits that mould perfectly.

Good thing too. Darth'll be having a baby when he realises he's missed a chapter, lol.

@ Meg: That's fine, although Darth might start getting jealous, lol.
I admit it stretches the imagination a little, but if you recall in-game most of the cybernetics upgrades you can get for Shepard (Heavy Skin/Muscle/Bone Weave) channel medigel all around the body. When I said it was under the arm, I didn't literally mean the underarm, I meant the section of ribs down the side of the body often covered by the arm. It just seemed too long winded to say it that way. I just thought that with Shepard's hardsuit pumping him full of medigel when he takes a hit and his cybernetics increasing the flow rate and distribution of medigel that any wound could be almost instantly patched up.LuxDragon wrote...

It's a nicely written epilogue, but Shepard's wound seems really unrealistic. Even for medigel. If he was hit in the lung, then the results would have been immediate. If he wasn't, then internal bleeding would have been definitely a crazy issue. Actually, if he was hit at all, then he'd be in the medical bay getting the bullet out of his body, not heading to his room, in which case, Mordin/Chakwas would see it. Also, you need to factor in the pain. There's a rather large cluster of nerves under the arm. It's why most are ticklish there. Unless medigel provide mad painkillers too, it's really going to hurt. Finally, there's a large artery there that provides a great deal of
blood for the arm...
Sorry for nitpicking, but you sent Miranda to the med bay and she was probably fine, but Shepard actually got shot and he just toughs it out?
I guess I'm saying that its still a rough draft and that some minor tweaks are needed. I do like how the
beginning was written though.
The way medigel appears in the ME universe at the moment is almost like a miracle substance that totally heals all wounds. I guess in a way I'm trying to avoid going down that road whilst at the same time using that appearance as a way for even hardened soldiers to get a little sloppy and careless when it comes to getting checked out after a mission. As far as I was concerned when writing it, Shepard was only acutely aware of being hit by something because he was full of adrenaline, both from the mission as a whole and from the jump, trying to scramble aboard the Normandy.
In the next segment I'd already thought of Garrus commenting that he'd seen a lot of soldiers make the same mistake Shepard did since the Alliance brought medigel to the galaxy. That it had become a bit of a crutch and good soldiers were ignoring the fact they'd been shot and not going to get checked out by a doctor until it was too late.

Don't forget that it was the Sirta Foundation that invented medigel and they're a human company. Medigel has only been in the galaxy since the Alliance came into the picture, so it would make sense for even hardened Turian soldiers to eventually fall victim to its marketing as a miracle salve.Jediknight120 wrote...
@ Darth - I like the idea of making medigel into a "crutch" - Garrus should make that comment for sure.
Annjul it's currently untitled. It's back on page 177.

Medigel was such a crutch for me in ME1 haha.... in ME2 I just replaced medigel with cloaking.

Don't forget the "I wonder what she looks like under that mask!" angle. One problem I have with her is that she somewhat throws herself at you. The other problem is the whole 'little sister' angle, which adds another level of "Uh, no. Not happening." to the equation.

Hah, now i will start going through game 6th time. I hope that now i will get somehow my shep renegade. and flirty. i need to hear Miri saying that line "i need everybody to know you are mine" or like that.
To get that line don't immediately try to romance her. (Not sure if that's the definite, but that's how it was for me)
What I did was I began romancing Jack and then went and tried to romance Miranda...thus I got that line.

Would my fellow fanfic authors Rath, Meg, Jedi and Andy mind sending me a PM with your thoughts and opinions of my fanfic teaser?
