It's like this:
(1) As the game progresses, Paragon and Renegade conversation options need progressively more points to become active.
(2) Some options are weighted to one side. For instance you can solve the Miranda/Jack conflict using the Renegade option with 50% Ren at a certain time, but you need 85% Par to use the Paragon option.
(3) If you want more Renegade points, use the lower options on the wheel to end conversations, even if they're not colored. And always take Renegade interrupts.
But it is indeed so: unless you're a complete jerk, it is not easy to get more Renegade points than Paragon points. As for the scars, I hate this effect with a passion I find myself unwilling to put into words here. It's one of the most world-breaking elements of the ME universe and completely ridiculous. That we must spend a lot of resources to remove the scars is insulting. Alignment-based appearance BEGONE!!!

I know how to get points, but i do not know why their amount is going down when sometimes i get paragon (i cant be evil with the crew, its too hard for me xD). its like they try to balance each other... as more as i get paragon, the renegade gets weaker in choosing it in converstations.



besides, in Miri/jack conflict i didt have even a 50% paragon and ive won and in Samara's and Tali's missions which i was doing just before final mission i didnt have enough to use renegade... i got furious everytime i tried. sometimes i got points and the 'diagram' stood in the same place.



btw, how do you count the amount of points? i just see in 'label' 4 parts and devide them into 25%. correct?



you dont like scars? well i always 'deleted' them but now i started to let my shep have them. they look nice, realistic and make your character stand out in the crowd. great addition i would say.

medical upgrade is not so expensive! in the game i had so much money that i was buying everything from the shops
