Hehe, yeah my mind is still a bit blown out from it. I ain't going to spoil it for anyone though.

Really has to be played to be believed.

Got a few ideas for future playthroughs, specially an obvious one hehe :happy:

Yeah it is pretty much like that but there is difficulty levels and I think the 'casual' one is for people that generally don't like that sort of game ie. plenty of time and probably less frantic mashing needed.


ahhh, good! the only way I'd play it is if I can do it on my own time. I hate time limits.

Another game that looks (simply by way of gameplay) similar to Heavy Rain is Deadly Premonition. There's this one scene where you run from a nutbag killer and hide in a room and where you hide matters. It shows both camera angles- his and yours- while you're doing the scene too, just like Indigo did and probably how Heavy does it too.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE scary games... we need more of them.  Ones that actually DO scare you and not some lame 'boo' jumping out of a closet.

I'm not sure how long it actually took me...I'd estimate at 7-8 hours. But there is a lot of incentive to play again and try things a different way. Although I've heard the decisions don't have as big of an impact as you'd think, and having played it I think that might be true. It would be unfair of me to say for sure though until I've taken some different paths in the story to compare.

Would I lie to you? I don't think there is a timer in the game so I'm only guessing but I'm 95% sure I've played it for less than 10 hours. Ulrich played it all in one yesterday I think so he might have a more accurate time.

Edit: @ Vamp: I'd say if you aren't interested in seeing potentially different outcomes or seeing absolutely everything the game has that a rental would probably be your best bet. As good as it is, it really is an interactive movie so once you've seen it you'll be pretty satisfied I think. Great story. Probably the best ever in a video game (or interactive movie).

Well, I think it's quite significant you can't DESTROY Cerberus/TiM at the end of ME2 (like you can with the Council in ME1). This suggests to me that they want them to play a role in ME3 or major DLC. (Like, an expansion-sized DLC.)

I used to think that this sort of dangling plot thread would be handled via DLC before ME3, but I've decided that it's more likely to be handled in ME3. Bringing back Martin Sheen for VA (and Yvonne, hopefully, too) will requre a full-game sized budget IMO.

Yes, most likely.  My playthroughs tend to be with Miranda and Garrus without fail.  The only time that changes is for loyalty missions and on the Collectors' station because I assign Miranda as Team 2 Leader.

Interesting how a story and visuals can change a games 'status'. Going back to MW2....it was slated to high hell; for being so short (around 12 hours iirc) but to be fair to it, it has the MP aspect for longevity, but goven its price tag (espeically on the consoles) 12 hours etertainment is pants for £40+...



So was very suprised to hear your estimate....(and I'm not bashing, I do fancy playing it, and just found out next doors grandson got it today so might have to invade his house for a play through lmao)...was just shocked that this has less longevity, less time to play yet has received shining endorsements....I really hope this is not the way games are going to go, im all for flash and visuals and storyline, but not at the expense of 'actual entertainment' if you follow what I mean :)
