Speaking of the eerie, I've been reading a book titled "The Suicide Collectors". Featuring in the main plot is a shadowy group called the "Collectors", who collect human bodies for an unknown purpose (only dead ones this time). Ah, and there's a girl named "Zero" in the story.

I'm having a similiar experience in the SC2 beta. There's a unit called Reapers, which is a jetpack commando-type unit, and everyone is posting about how overpowered it is.

And every time I see a thread about it I want to post:

And I can just see a Blizzard developer saying something like,
"Ah yes, 'Reapers.' The fast cliff-jumping, base destroying unit that is allegedly imbalanced. We have dismissed that claim."

Lol, I know Com, but hey, polls are fun, even if they've been done a thousand times. So on that note, I'm just going to include in my posts from now on just so all our fellow Mirimaniacs can see it lol...

Tali always wins these polls because her fans are are very immature. I noticed that the Miri fans are mature as we don't spam the forums to hell.

She has much better social skills than, say, Bastila. Refined? Yes. Reserved? Yes. Icy? I don' see it after the first half hour.

I completely agree with this. IIRC, I and Sleepy Buddha have said much the same in the old thread. I like that she's a refined and reserved woman, it makes her interesting and carries a huge appeal.

Indeed. There's always the same five people posting in that thread, and they seem a pretty self-contained group. Not that this isn't true of this thread to some extent.


BTW, I'd like to point everyone who was absent to the very interesting discussion about Miranda on pages 192ff.. I've just been reading it, and it's notable because almost everything about Miranda has already been said. If anyone hasn't read it because of the thread moving too fast, pages 192ff are worth reading.
