That pic reminds me that I want to pick Miranda as the shield person in the Collector Base to see Shep rescue her, but I can't bring myself to get someone killed.
YOU HAVE FAILED, WE WILL FIND ANOTHER WAY!
Give yourself, to the miri-side *breaths heavily*

None of them compare to Miri (well, my bro Garrus is a close second and Tali's right up there), but there's none I dislike.

That was my point though, Shinobi. Miranda didn't care about Shepard at all. He was just another assignment to her. To say that she cared about him more than his friends at that point, isnt accurate. I do, however, believe that once she really delved into Shepard she came to admire him. But she didn't fall in love with him (I believe) until he was actually conscious.
And she's not the "sole reason" he's alive. Without TIM starting the entire project, she wouldn't have accomplished what she did. Without TIM contracting Liara to acquire his body, Miranda wouldn't have even had a project.
I'm playing a bit of devil's advocate here, but you really can't say Shepard lives solely because of Miranda is all I'm trying to say.
In great part to her? Definitely. I've already stated that no one else could have accomplished what she did, but she didn't do any of it alone.
I see what you're saying now. You mean at that point in time. I understand now, I agree with that then. At that point, you're right, it was just another assignment, though it was her most valuable one. And I might have been exaggerating it a little bit when I said "sole reason".
It's true, without Liara and TIM, Miri couldn't do anything. So I would say those 3 are the most important factors in his revival. Though I still think that Miranda was the most important in the direct sense, in that she actually carried it out.

One thing people forget or don't pay attention to, is the fact she most likely has spent 19 years working for them, rising through the ranks fairly quickly for her age and basically being conditioned into thinking they are doing the best for humanity due to the division she is in and information she is given regarding tasks other divisions do.
Now as I've mentioned in another topic, regarding the scene at the base, that isn't a straight 180 that a lot of people believe. As I pointed out (even more so in my last post in that topic), you could go back probably as far as Horizon for her opinion no doubt changing. Then there is the collector ship trap. I think that situation is what brought on the "What so you can replace me next?" line that she throws at TIM during the base sequence in that obviously she would have thought TIM would have told her they were walking into a trap. Specially one that basically required EDI to get them out of there as Miranda's view on AIs does show a bit after the abduction sequence.
The information is all there if people are willing to pay attention to the story. So fed up of people expecting bioware to spoon feed them the story.
Or not given, in this case. EDI is pretty clear that elements of one cell have no idea who the elements of another cell are or what they're up to.
And Miranda's whole presence in the game depends on paying attention. Everything's there, but it's up to people to put a bit of effort into perceiving it, just like in real life, since none of it is handed to you in a plater. But I guess some people just need that lamest of storytelling devices, total and direct exposition, to actually understand anything.

All TIM did was provided the resources which could have been done by any number of people in a position such as he, I'm sure. And Liara recovered his body which, again, probably could have been done by any number of people.
No one else could have accomplished what Miranda did and that makes her role in his resurrection far more important that anyone else's.

Yeah sorry forgot to address that properly in that the information she is given isn't always the truth or she just isn't given the particular details that would have her opinion more akin to that of Jacob.
As for the lamest storytelling devices, total and direct exposition, don't get me started on that. I can think of a few 'fanatics' of another LI that truly fit that last comment of yours.
Anyway time for me to hit the sack, 2.50am here in the UK and I need some sleep. Anyone over the pond, see ya tomorrow, anyone the other way from here, see ya later

I just checked TV.com, and it seems like the last episode with Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) will be either episode 9 or 10, as his name doesn't appear in cast listings after episode 9. This makes some sense too as Episode 9 is the one being directed by Zachary Levi and is supposedly an action packed episode.
Why is this good news? Because any Chuck fan knows that Chuck NEEDS to be with Sarah
I am excited
