Yes but Sarah/Chuck story is linked to Chuck=spy story.
It's the main plot : as long as Chuck is a spy he can't be with sarah.

Which seems like awful excuse now, when Sarah has been going on with other agents even before the season 1. It's third one now? The fact that Sarah doesn't want Chuck to become a spy and lose his innocence and good heart, is believable for me though.  Also there will be CIA spy couple in the Rolemodels episode near the end of season. If other two CIA agents can be married, then why not Chuck and Sarah?

And in the Jack Ryan novels by Tom Clancy there's a married couple in that. Ed and Patricia Foley actually end up as Director and Deputy Director (Operations) of the Agency.

About the writing on Chuck, I think the writing lately has felt a little more uninspired compared to Seasons 1 and 2. Chuck versus Operation Awesome was one of the better episodes IMO, and the episodes have gotten better since then. I think perhaps the writers were a little cautious beginning Season 3.

As for the romantic tension, I kinda just think back to all the other times something like this has happened in Chuck before (Chuck/Lou, Chuck/Jill, etc). Obviously these other relationships broke apart after a few episodes, so we can expect Chuck with Sarah again most likely after episode 9, 10, or 11.

I believe everyone knows it will happen again, but they should get together for real finally. The constant break ups are hurting the characters and the show. So it's not about fearing that they wouldn't get back together. Just that they should already tie the knot and quit fooling around.

She's been with spy before but it's not the type of relationship she's looking for. She wants a normal life.
I'm sure Shaw will not be there for long time.

I have no fears that there will be a series 4, but if they do not sort out chuck and sarah....I fear they show will die, as the core viowing audience dont care about chuck being a spy, working at buy more or feeling himself up i his bedroom, we/they want to see him and sarah together...

As has been said, you can only drag out the 'will they/wont they' for so long before people get pissed off.

If Chuck/Sarah is the core of the show then the whole point of the show is to see if Chuck gets Sarah. What happens if the writers put them together? The show has constantly shown spy relationships failing in some way (usually the death of one partner).

Of course Mel. My god really like, just DO IT lol.

But really, you know what would be a nice wrap up to Season 3? Chuck and Sarah getting married, just how Ellie and Awesome got married at the end of Season 2. That would be a very good direction in the writing IMO. Plus it allows for Chuck and Sarah's relationship to develop up to the supposed marriage.

If they want to lose the show, then by all means they should continue this route, but every show needs to come up with something new or they die. The Chuck has been the constant ''Chuck and Sarah get close, then third wheel comes along. Chuck and Sarah break up, few episodes later they break up with their love interests and hook up as ''friends'', then they warm up to each other.'' Then writers reset it and start all over again.

Writers.... Yvonne is not amused..

I've just done stage one, copied the coded format of the OP onto Notepad.  Now just to upload it.

EDIT: Nowhere to upload it.  I could email it to a few of the regulars so that if you're on when this one gets locked you've got it to hand.  Just a thought.
