heh you're probably right Odin, ya know this made me think. Most Tali fans can't stand Miri or Ash, and a few Miranda fans are also Ash fans, it would seem to the naked eye (as in everyone that thinks Ash is a xenophobe and Miri is the Cerberus B****) that we are anti ailen....

Heck, I like Tali as a character. Not as a romance, but sure, I think she's a fine character

Not as such, but I am indeed anti-alien-romance, for reasons of plausibility and immersion. I consider myself lucky that maleSheps have Miranda and Ashley. FemSheps have a harder time of it. Most of mine went unromanced.

Me too shinobi, truth be told the reason I don't romance her is because some of her traits remind me too much of myself so it's kinda weird in that regard, plus IRL I would like to be with a person who is a little more stable in their life than I. Yea one could say "Hey you're 18 go party fool" but as my parents once said, I have an old soul and I'm always thinking ahead when it comes to the serious things so to be with someone whose life is in the same "stage" as mine would be hectic IMO. That is the very long and detail version of why I chose Mirimance over Talimance.

I like Tali too, I'd never romance her though.

@Flashy: I think their hatred of Ash/Miranda might just come from the fact that they are strong women, some people just don't like that, Tali is more of a damsel in distress and some people love playing the dashing hero who saves the day. I'd say it's a matter of maturity, but I'm not fully prepared to say that yet, as I don't care enough to sit in the Tali thread to gauge the people there, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case for most people in that thread.

There's been pictures of Tali and other characters in here before. No one made a fuss at all. Heck I even commented on the hotness of this one Tali pic. Wish I could find it, it was quite nice hehe.

It's ok 1490. It's perfectly understandable. It happens. Well, if it's any consolation, everyone's welcome here, you included. Most of us like Tali here as a character

Usually we're welcoming too.  I think it's 'cause our thread surpassed the number of pages of the previous one that a bunch of non-regular people are coming in and making a scene.  

And while some of those guys won't admit it, you know they've had their Miranda playthroughs too

I've never really thought about it till now but you are completely right. In under 30 years, humanity goes from first contact to getting freaky with some aliens. Kind of bizarre.

Haha it was me. HEAVY ON THE NACHO CHEEZE. Na really though I was only posting it to see their reaction. It wasn't that pretty. But no judgments toward Tali fans at all.
