Best make the 8000th post worth something now. I'll post my favourite Miranda pic:

I'm still waiting to hear Shin's theory about why he thinks ME3 will be released sooner than later...

It's either an epic wall of text, or he's fallen asleep.

Sorry Odin looks like andy gets the Nacho for 8000th post, butttt you get the Nacho for putting us over 8000 once we got there
You're probably right. I'm sure he's drooling all over the keyboard as we speak. I imagine his fiancee will find him passed out in front of the screen with pages and pages of Yvonne and Miri pictures open on it shortly, as well.andysilv87 wrote...

Perhaps, then, they'll have more time for actual content. Wrapping up NPC's stories, more extensive dialog, romance, a main plot that doesn't feel like an afterthought. I'd rather have ME3 later and bigger.shinobi602 wrote...
Fourth, Bioware said everything with the graphics engine is already done. They won't be doing any touch ups or tweaking. Everything they want out of the graphics engine is already where they want it, even the animations, and this is also one of the reasons Casey said ME3 will be easier and quicker to make.
And lastly and most importantly, Casey himself said the reason it won't take as long to make is because of lack of continuity. That is, they don't have to worry about any more branching paths or decisions. It all culminates in ME3 no matter what. This drastically cuts down on development time.

Without Miranda nothing of it would matter, of course. If they cut or even dramatically downsize her role, I'll write my own version of ME3 events. I think it's unlikely, though (sigh of relief at being able to say that with conviction).

Lol sorry guys. I was actually watching the recent GTTV episode. I see there is no shortage of mockery against the master thread ninja in his absence! I see how it is! ANYWAY, sorry to keep ya waiting! Ok, here's why I think it'll come out sooner. I'm predicting around a Fall 2011 release.
First, Bioware said they began working on ME3 before ME2 was released. That's one.
Second, Casey and Ray Muzyka have said more than once that they want to get ME3 out sooner rather than later, and that the time difference between the release of ME2 and ME3 will be less than the difference between ME1 and ME2.
Third, Casey said the story and conclusion for ME3 is already completed.
Fourth, Bioware said everything with the graphics engine is already done. They won't be doing any touch ups or tweaking. Everything they want out of the graphics engine is already where they want it, even the animations, and this is also one of the reasons Casey said ME3 will be easier and quicker to make.

My 2 cents =P

I have faith in Bioware. And don't worry, I'm almost positive Miri will definitely have a large role in ME3. Given everything we know about her and the fact that she's really difficult to get rid of in the suicide mission lol. The devs definitely made her character to have an important role.

What if Miranda turned out to be a bad guy and her loyalty was all a set-up? I don't really believe that, but there are some theories circulating the forums about that and I can't say they're all completely implausible.

Agreed, Miranda is an important character, I really don't think there's any refuting that. Also what you said about her resilience in the end mission, the fact that they went to the trouble to model her face after Yvonne, (which if I remember correctly was a long process) I really don't see Bioware going "Hmph, guess we don't need her to come back.". Just my thoughts.
