What if Miranda turned out to be a bad guy and her loyalty was all a set-up?

I'd have to fly to Canada and do unpleasant things if that occurred.

As for ME3 release date: I'm pegging it for late 2011 or early 2012. I'd rather have a larger game than a shorter release time.

Sidenote: I want to kill roughly half the guys who make gif files. Too many are completely unoptimised (I shrunk one of the gifs from 8MB to 3MB with no change in quality) or made by software that doesn't support the standard properly. Though at least I get to learn the software so I can make my own, and cut out the randoms who pop up in the middle of a Miranda or Yvonne moment.

I hear that. I mean sure, I'd like to think I could...but I'm not positive that  I could and not feel horrible. I mean, I felt bad when I left Ashley to die on Virmire, and I wasn't too crazy about her at the time.

I know, as much as it pains me it is a genuine possibility. But I have faith in Miranda, so I won't be worrying too much about it. If BW did go down this route though, they damn well better make it possible to keep Miranda on your side, especially if she is your LI.

I totally agree. I couldn't pull the trigger on her. No way.

Thinking back to KOTOR and Bastilla though, it seems like a definite possibility. I'm hoping Bioware's recurring theme of redemption comes into play if so. My Shepard wouldn't just give up on her. He would want the option to change her mind.

I really, really hope it doesn't come to that though.

I don't know....I don't think Miranda will turn. The end scene and resigning from Cerberus just seemed really genuine. I highly doubt it was all for show.

It would feel like such a personal betrayal for me too, after so many on these boards pegged her as a traitor the second her trailer was released. It was such a fist pumping moment when she reisgned from Cerberus at the end for that very reason, I was so proud. I literally said "that's my girl!" Lol, must've sounded weird to anybody listening in.

But can she really turn her back on Cerberus after all this time? Of course she can...right?...Yeah, definitely...hmm...

If Bioware does that in ME 3 then I will make sure I leave no one else alive in my squad and make

damn sure the Reapers wipe out everyone

I'm sure it won't come to that, if only because it seems...I don't know....unfair, I guess? "Hey, look at all the happy Ashley, Tali, Kaiden ect. fans! Oh, hey Miranda fans, why so glum? What?! You had to put her down? That's harsh..."

I believe she can. Especially given the right reasons. Miranda was always strong-willed and thought for herself. I doubt she would continue to follow Cerberus if she started to genuinely question their actions and motives - especially TIMs. I think after all she learned about Cerberus in ME2 - Jack's back story, Shepard's sole survivor background, among other things - the fact that TIM wanted to use Reaper tech was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Shepard was also the first person to help her out without wanting anything in return, really. Regardless of whether or not you romanced her, I think she genuinely cares for Shepard and respects him/her. I do think that fact is more prominent if she was your LI though.

Miranda is too obvious a choice as a traitor such that if there is any traitor, I would say it would be anyone but her. I would rather it be Jacob... at least then he'd be more interesting.

Shepard and her experience with him changed her. I don't see it as that surprising that she left. Shepard opened up her eyes and her heart. She's a different person now.

Truer words were never spoken. Thanks Meg, I feel reassured now. I think.

I just thought about something Shepard and Miranda should be running things in ME 3 with not having to answer to anyone and I mean no one at all.

I was originally going to say Tali but I doubt the devs would have the stones to actually do it. The forums would melt under the wrath of the Taliban.

That is correct, Andy, and we were certainly not talking about anything depressing. At all.

Thats what ME 3 needs is for one of Shepard's old crew from ME 1 turn on him it would make for a shocking event in ME 3. listen to Tali in the game does she really give 2 craps about the war with the reapers or collectors she says I am hear for you Shepard only.

Definitely not. After the Shaw incident, I don't need anymore Yvonne related depression.

I know this is a bit depressing but I have to ask. Do you think we will have to make a choice between our LI's life (Miranda in our case) & potentially hundreds of others in ME3? It's the sort of choice that would genuinely tear me apart inside which is why I expect BioWare to ask us to make it.

If it happens, what would you do?

If there is a LI choice in ME 3 its real simple for Me my male Shepard is with Miranda
