I agree, I would pick Miranda. The problem is, if this situation were to occur during a huge story mission you would probably have Miranda telling you to leave her so the job gets done. *Shudder* I don't want to think about it, I never should have brought it up.

The weight of innocent deaths is not something that can be easily forgotten. The call really depends on your Shepard's background and the situation.

I'd have an extremely hard time choosing...

A tougher decision: Save Shepard or save Miranda?

My earthborn warhero would make the sacrifice. Plus it would add to his aura. The hero's last act was to save the one he loved most.

I would definitely sacrifice my Shepard for Miranda, I'd have no hesitation.

@Odin: I really couldn't say how I would choose if it was between my entire squad and Miranda. Honestly, I think I would choose her over them. The hardest people to lose would be Garrus and Legion for me, but it'd be far easier than having to let Miranda die. I guess it would also depend on the circumstances, but I really can't imagine a scenario where I don't choose her. That's really awful.

All I can say is that I really, really don't want to make that choice. I get a feeling I'd choose Miranda, then the moment I hit 'A' I'd have a sad montage of Garrus, Kaiden (asssuming he comes back), Tali and the rest stuck in my head and I'd immediately regret it. However the exact same thing would happen with Miranda if I chose my squad.

You know what they say,  'Damned if you do....damned if you don't'.

OT but ME2 has really ruined ME1 for me. I keep trying to reload my gun. And I keep clicking the thumbstick to see which direction I have to go. I also still really, really hate the mako.

Its simple really she is the reason why Shepard is alive and really she is the only one on the crew in ME 2 that really gives a dam about you and plus She is the only one worth saving.

It would be an absolute killer choice to make for sure. With this being the "anything goes" concluding chapter of the trilogy I've got a real feeling we're going to have to make big decisions like this. I don't think we'll have to actually pick between all of our squad and our LI but something along those lines. Big decisions were lacking in ME2 but I'm expecting some serious mind ****s in ME3.

The Shepard I'm currently writing about could. It would break his heart, but he could, and would, do it. Assuming, of course, he doesn't agree with her agenda about what the future of humanity should be, which is always possible.

That would depend on the mission. If it was THE mission against the Reapers, then the choice is obvious considering everyone will die, including Miranda, if you don't complete it.

What mission are we talking about? If its the reapers then either way Miranda will die at some point and it depends on if you want everyone else to die too.

I have to disagree with that. Strongly, I might add. I love Miranda as much as the next Miri fan, and while I do appreciate the fact that she was instrumental in revivng Shepard, to say that among the entire squad that Miranda is the absolute only one who is worth saving is, in my opinion, a total crock. It's important to remember that you, as Shepard have a past with all of these people, not just one. They trust you, they count on you and I personally cringe at the idea of leaving Garrus to die after all we've been through. However, I'm not saying you're wrong in thinking the way you do, I am saying that at least to me, it's not as cut-and-dry as you make it out to be.


Also, sorry if that comes off as harsh, it's 4:30 and I'm really tired.

Well on the surface it's pretty simple to me: Save Miranda. But you have to think of Miranda's reaction if you were to let her sister die to save her. It's a tough one, but I would save Miri and hopefully charm her into seeing things my way, lol.
