Don't worry Mel... I've liked Shaw since they introduced him.
Me to! The only problem I have with him is the actor seems to not have very much chemistry with Miran...er....Yvonne. Never thought I would see her do sexy scenes and have it fall kinda flat. Seriously if you cannot act attracted to Brandon Routh/Yvonne Strahovski I have to question your abilities as an actor.

Seeing as from the few episodes I've seen pieces of, without getting bored and flicking over to QI, Casey seemed like the funniest character around. What did he get up to this time?
Epic sniper job. Made Chuck feel like a man, along with being totally cocky about his sniper skillz.

He saved the day in an incredibly unlikely and awesome way. Just like he does in his finest moments.
He and Chuck also had a touching moment...for those two anyway
This season really suffers from not enough Casey.

I could fill in for Brandon if he's struggling...

I could to if they let me spend a few months straight doing sit ups.

Last I saw was Casey being somewhat trigger happy with his new toy. A tranquilizer gun...Valmy wrote...

You mean the episode where he knocks out that nerdy weapons developer over and over again? That was hilarious.

Andy... Always the helpful one, aye?
Would you be able to hold your ground when something like her comes towards you?

I was thinking of the British rock star episode, special guest star Dominic Monaghan (Merry in LotR and some guy in Lost).Valmy wrote...

I like that episode, he shoots Chuck with it too IIRC.
Charlie Pace was the Lost name you were looking for btw.

I think that ep is the only one I've bothered to watch all the way through. From what I've watched of Chuck I've been distinctly unimpressed. Mostly because I felt that they only keep viewers because of how stunningly beautiful Yvonne is. I thought Casey was a very funny character, even though he's not overtly funny and I cringed whenever I watched a scene with all the overtly funny characters, read: Buy More staff.
It grows on you and do you really need another reason besides Yvonne

What if Miranda turned out to be a bad guy and her loyalty was all a set-up? I don't really believe that, but there are some theories circulating the forums about that and I can't say they're all completely implausible.
I know, as much as it pains me it is a genuine possibility. But I have faith in Miranda, so I won't be worrying too much about it. If BW did go down this route though, they damn well better make it possible to keep Miranda on your side, especially if she is your LI.
@ Odin: I couldn't kill Miranda ever, it might make me cry, lol.
Thinking back to KOTOR and Bastilla though, it seems like a definite possibility. I'm hoping Bioware's recurring theme of redemption comes into play if so. My Shepard wouldn't just give up on her. He would want the option to change her mind.
I really, really hope it doesn't come to that though.
I can't see any logic to Miranda's loyalty being just a set-up. I mean, it would be a set-up that implied loosing the collector base, which we can see by the endgame is to TIM the asset most worth having.
If that were to happen, IMO it would be a twist just for the sake of having a twist, and that would ruin the story.
I believe in Miranda. I believe she's loyal. And if she's not, my Shep is a dead man, since I can't kill her.
BTW, I see I missed all the excitement last night. Wish I had been here to see it live.
And the thread is still going. Let's hope they let us go OVER 9000!!! posts. (let's see who gets that reference)

Yes actually, I do. Like a plot that isn't covered in large helpings of cheese supplemented by an assortment of strange characters whose entire characterization is covered in serious amounts of cheese. A good series needs a good blend, one thing alone is not enough, even if that one thing is as beautiful as Yvonne.
Good point
you just have to take it with a grain of salt
as i said it grows on you

The plot elements are absurd, the stories are often cliche or over-the-top, but really its ok because you really enjoy the main three characters-Casey, Chuck, and Sarah. I do enjoy Yvonne's beauty but that isn't really enough, but she makes it great because there seems to be a little *wink wink* thing going on. Almost as if the fact she is so incredibly attractive is part of the comedy. Indeed when they have her in a little outfit and she is mincing around it is pretty funny, especially when it is all in slo mo.
Yeah the rest of the cast takes a bit too much of their screentime.

Indeed. Is it a bad thing that I think Shep & Miri turning up to a Council meet with Miri in an N7 top that is 'tighter' than it should be would be amusing?

You have to find the cheese funny.
Remember Chuck is a comedy not a drama.

Actually, its Action/Drama/Comedy. I have to admit skipping the Buy More parts on my second view. They were fun occasionally, but usually I just found them stalling the spy/romance plot, that I was more into.

Even a comedy needn't be cheesy. It's like people think embarrassing equals funny. I'll rather have the funny moments in ME2 (like Mordin, or the Gunnery Chief on Citadel).**desperate try to bring this thread off "Chuck"**Valmy wrote...
