edit: As for this whole miri betray thing, they aren't going to do that, it'll just be a case of her stating that we need to shift Oriana again.

The trouble is, are they really going to go all out with the ME2 characters, specifically Miri and Jacob.

They would surely need to account for people choosing to remain buddies with Cerberus. So that would mean for those 2 specifically content would be altered. Most of the others in the squad tend to be anti-Cerberus.

I can't see how remaining loyal to Cerberus is going to allow Ash/Kaidan LIs to truly reunite with them because they seriously hate Cerberus so unless Shep and the others that were in ME can talk some sense into that ain't going to happen.

Well...the key difference is that Bastilla's turning to the dark side was forshadowed the entire game.  You could see how she would get angry and resentful and impatient and all the things that make Jedi go bad.  They haven't done the groundwork to make that work for Miranda.  But hey they have another game to do it.

Though the primary problem with this is that Miranda will not be in everybody's game so cannot be counted on to fill such a huge plot point.  If a key moment like that is going to happen to a character Kaidan/Ashley or Liara will have to do it.

I usually agree with you, Ieldra, but you're gonna have to explain this one to me. How would it be an interesting plot twist?

I can't think of a single logical reason for it to happen. And without a very good reason, it would be a twist for the sake of having a twist and drama, which would ruin the story (think Lost and Modern Warfare 2).

The Bastila case had a good reason. Bastila's character was flawed in a way that made her very vulnerable to falling to the dark side.

I don't see Miranda having any of those flaws (character weaknesses), and I can't think of a logical reason she woul still be secretly working for TIM. Destroying something TIM obviously desired above anything else just to gain Shep's trust? I don't buy it.

I haven't actually played KOTOR so I was talking in more of a general sense. Just getting Miranda to stick with you through love would be a pretty cool moment.

I agree.  That scene is why KOTOR was so much better than all but maybe the first two Star Wars films.

I just find it unlikely.  I think Miranda will be a squad member in ME3 but will fill a secondary role now.
