You know... I was just looking at the title of the Miranda group... "Support Group" sounds like WE are alcoholics or something. Did that hit anyone else the same way? Lol

Yeah, Kalen. You didn't know that? You must have missed the introductory meeting. We have so many new members, I suppose we need another.

Everyone repeat after me, using your own name.

"Hi, my name is Meg and I'm a Mirimaniac."

"Hi, my name Kalen and I'm a Mirimaniac."

Hi, my name is Valmy and I am a Mirivonnemaniac. My problem started in late January when I unwittingly picked up this game called Mass Effect 2...it seemed like simple harmless fun...just one more hit of Miranda never hurt anybody I kept thinking...I can quit at any time"

So why are you here?  For what she represents?  An extremely competent
leader female character who doesn't suffer any badass decay even being
emotional and in love?

More or less, plus there are so many things that make me go "hmm, that deserves further exploration." She's initially presented as very ruthless, but she's very friendly with Ish and others. She has massive self-esteem issues that she tries to cover up by taking charge. How does she feel about sex and romance? I take it as a given that she's probably played Mata Hari once or twice, but she seems very inexperienced as far as romance.  How did she prove herself to Cerberus as a teenager, and how did she survive the period between then and when she ran away.

So, yeah, Miranda ate my brain. I love it, even if being a girl on this thread can be weird.

After Shinobi's "cannon romance" video, I'm not sure I trust any links in this thread anymore.

I can say that all things you mentioned - exploring her character, asking questions the game never answers, simply curiosity as well as appreciation of what we know about her - are mainly responsible for my fascination. How she looks does help, but it alone wouldn't have resulted in my partaking in a thread like this, to say nothing of writing something like the Miranda Manifest. I also like the way an SF theme is interwoven with what she represents. That was probably the final element.

Major props to whoever posted the first song by Two Steps from Hell, those are epic. And helping me get the right feel for writing some dialogue. And I agree, Undying Love is the song for my Shep and Miri.

Also, good morning thread.

Also, another pic of Sarah and Shaw and I will be forced to do unpleasant things.

Morning Jedi.

You have to admit though, that Shaw pic did make you all mushy inside, at least for split second?

I can understand that.  Looking at the pools of drool in the Kaidan thread is pretty intimidating for me as well.

Is she inexperienced at Romance?  Interesting question.  She does seem to hesitate...to not want to allow herself to get emotional.  I wonder if it is Romance she is afraid of or something else, like compromising her loyalty to Cerberus or something.  The game can only explore so much especially when there are 12 main characters at least counting the two Shepards.

She certainly is a great flirt and very coy and clearly very experienced with the sex part.

Certainly something to munch on, to speculate what exactly is the source of her hesitation...

I don't know if she is friendly but she certainly is professional and classy most of the time.  I found it particularly interesting for her to be that way on the Normandy after Shepard had that extremely icy conversation with her at the Cerberus base.

Yeah if I hadn't been interested in her as a character I never would have cared much what she or her voice actress looked like.

Also, good morning thread.

The song is quite nice, but a bit too conventional for my tastes.
