Indeed I like all of the characters because they each have very unique personalities. Not one character is a "cookie cutter" copy of another.

As for the FF games, I never was a fan. I played a game or two at a friend's a year ago (after I had played Mass Effect, KOTOR1/2), and to me the story and characters were bland in comparison. The turn based gameplay never bothered me. After having played BioWare games I honestly think Square Enix is infinitely inferior in making truly captivating stories as a roleplaying game. If you like FF, go for it. I for one am going to stay away.
