I just feel sorry for Johnny Average trying to date their daughter...

Lol, where's Rath when you need him? Image IPB

Shepard: So Johnny, do you understand the rules for the prom tonight?
Johnny: Yes sir.
Shepard: Repeat them back to me...
Johnny: Sir, if your daughter's innocence is not intact at the end of the night I will be paying an unpleasant visit to Clan Urdnot, sir!
Shepard:  Good boy.
Miranda:  That's a bit...tame, isn't it honey?
Johnny: *gulps*

What would be crazy is when(colony / Skylian blitz) Shepard's daughter brings home a Batarian boyfriend....Image IPB

You'd hear the unmistakable thud of a Batarian corpse hitting the floor...

Bah. I'd hope they would be less racist.

I don't like Batarians as a rule, but even they deserve to be judged as individuals. You know, he *may* just be the rare exception.

That is, if I believed in human/alien romance in the first place, which I don't.

Ha ha, relax Ieldra, 'twas just a joke. No need to analyze it, hehe. Image IPB

Even Batarian?

Oh well, personally I find the race bit disgusting, but thats just my opinion. I find even krogans more attractive than the batarians. ;)

Humanity's history with batarians doesn't really support any warm relations either. Turians were exception, at least they have some sweet characters. Oh wish you hadn't died Nihlus.. You had such potential.:crying:

Speaking of turians any idea what happened to Garrus reapplying for Spectre status?  Spectre bromance... B)

I'm not personally attracted to many of the races, but if I was Shepard and had a daughter or son that was in love with someone... I wouldn't scream foul and try to yank them apart simply because that person is not of a race or gender that I "approve" of.  Life is too short and too damn horrofic already, just let them have that little slice of heaven.

If you haven't noticed it, "analyzing it" is what I do. Amazing as it may seem to some, it is great fun. More, in fact, than cracking jokes, about 90% of the time. Which is why I occasionally try to redirect the talk...

0612 EST, 0512 MST, 0412 CST and 0312 PST.  Seeing as some of you Americans have gone to bed well into the early hours I give it another couple of hours at least before we start seeing most return.

I'm usually active on three forums at once, and three threads/groups here.  I get my fill of analysing games and characters and things there.  This thread tends to be my one outlet for silly Miri love.  Hell, while I was being silly here earlier, I was actually busy explaining the inner turmoil of Miri when faced with Jack's past and confrontation in another topic.  So see... I'm not all smile and air in this pretty head of mine.

I'm giving up going to sleep at the same time.  It is only making me anxious and flightly looking at a clock after 15 or so hours and seeing that I "should" be tired yet I am wide awake and raring to go for another 7 hours (as happened yesterday).

I did notice ;)

I'd say silly Miri love is very much OK here. It's what this thread is about, at least in part. It's when the silliness is turned in other directions I sometimes ask myself "Do I still want to follow this thread"?

My silliness is usually connected to Miri in some fashion. Still, a good off topic jaunt is healthy too. That is the only way to keep such a group viable for many, many years.

Let's hope it doesn't take many, many years to get Miranda into ME3. I'd say the main purpose of this thread is fulfilled when we see a meaningful and deep romance, which is also connected to the main plot in some meaningful way, between Shepard and Miranda in ME3. After that we can all relax a bit, and the thread will have to be renamed and re-purposed. The group will become something like "The Miranda Lawson appreciation society".

I don't think inter-species nookie is really a good idea (Asari as an exception, as they can procreate with other species), especially with those that essentially believe in slavery and complain like sore losers.

Some race stereotypes in ME2

Humans - Bullies and racists

Turians - Militeristic and stuckup

Asari - Promiscuous, superior and blue

Salarian - Impatient, all they think about is breeding and smarter the nevryone else.

Elcor - slow as hell

Volus - Accountants and white collor criminals

Batarians - slavers, pirates and mercenaries

Krogan - Fighters, angry, stupid, hates Turians/ Salarians ,mercenaries

Vorcha - stupid and vagrant

Quarian - Thieves and Vagrants can fix anything, are actually synthetic beings

I think I'll sign off for a bit again. I scrapped Ch 3 and started it from scratch, let's see if I can pump it out in the next few days now!

Indeed. Wasn't page 400 yesterday?

And still Tali's beats us by a factor of more than 3, even if it's only in size and not in quality

The second series consists of Miranda, Garrus, Mordin and I've forgotten who the fourth is...
Series one is like August or something and series two is planned for December release.

Doesn't look good, the Tali thread can do 150-250 pages a day it looks like. You need more spammy ness, art and speculation if you want to keep pace. :)
