well Annjul....from the minute we are born...we are just 'waiting' to die are we not?
Some people have a good in between period, most don't.

I agree with kabrax a lot (though having a nervous breakdown and then severe depression doesnt help your train of thought), if your life is going nowhere, you have nothing to enjoy or look forward too, then really...why bother putting yourself through another x amount of years misery?

Very sad way of looking at things I agree, but also something to think about too.

*hugs* (because I was told too....and felt like it hehe)

So you think sucided is a good thing Mav?

I understand that mentality a lot more than I used to... which scares me.  Badly.

Poor Kab, lets wake up Flashy for you :wizard:

Kraidy...

Thats an interesting question indeed. I do not think it is right or wrong to be honest, but can understand why some people do it, and frankly, do not blame them.

Its a touchy subject, most think its a cowards way out, I have the opposing view, i think it takes great amount of courage.

Right and wrong, good and bad don't really come into it....its not really that black and white I don't think.

As much fun as I have here... it is still an internet "romance" at the most stalker oriented levels.  I would love a real gfriend, but the women around me are scary, reckless goldiggers that sleep with everybody.  Or they are married and have kids by 19.

I used to be the "cowards" type of person when it came to this.  But once life starts becoming unbearable, that doesn't hold up to scrutiny anymore.

Now... suicide because a girl rejected you once or you got an F..... that is ridiculous.  I never understood the people who failed once and decided that was it.

.... You have to get enjoyment into life from somewhere. My way is watching this epic scene from this epic alternative reality. ''Alliance ships move in! Save the Destiny Ascension!'' Not weird right?

Ps. I am tired of people blaming internet for people's unhappiness and technology. Its just getting more common because people get to know about it more. Just wanted to do this common anti-interweb hater rant.^_^

You could meet each other you know? Many internet romances sometimes work out. Hell I met my wife on when I was on vacation in Rome.

I don't think humanity is defined by the genetic characteristics such as Shep and Miri are physically defined though.  That is one of the reason's why I like Miri so much.  She is a wonderful example of a person who seeks to define themselves not by their body or their specific enhancements, but by their deeds and their emotions.  In that respect, Miri and Shepard could have an intense impact on the human race because they signify that the "improvements" are not the true answer to greatness... it is the human spirit and the will to persevere.

No, genetic makeup does not define a human, but it sets limits to what one can achieve. Miranda has higher limits in certain areas than other humans, but what she makes of it is left to her. That "human spirit and will to persevere" can do miraculous things, but it won't let us go over the limits set by our genetic makeup. And of course, genetic modification won't easily affect things that are defined by our culture, like values we embrace. Miranda is, indeed, a wonderful example of that. She is physically improved, but there can be no know that she is human. Wouldn't we all want to be like that?

I don't thinks its a cowards way out, but the thing is if you kill your self you are hurting ALOT of people that do love you.Thats my take on it, you are doing more harm then good.

hey hey hey hey... thats my avatar! ;P find yours ;P

yes, i think that facing the death is very brave- people are known for their strong will to survive for any cost, they do not want to die... so the conclusion is obvious.

but i dont approve the behaviour 'we are all gonna die, i will sit and wait'. ridiculous. we have to earn our happiness on earth, live and be grateful of if. sometimes we have falls and rises but this is the life... anyway, i dont approve 'life sux, i want to die, etc etc'.

was that me who brought that up? -.- sorrt then.

Titan....

If your still of sound mind (which sounds rather hypocritical considering what your thinking fo doing lol)....then to know what you are and who you are leaving behind.....its hard to describe.

Your life can change for the better or worse in an instant. who is to say that tomorrow is not going to be the start of 'your dreams'....

Then think of parents, children maybe...friends....ok, so you won't be here to know about it, but they will be left behind with all the hurt and questions.....

I hope you never experience it, I really do, but if you ever do get that down, try it....its harder than you might think.

And kabrax...yeah....those poeple are obviously imo unbalanced and unstable to start with....and most of those tend to be on the younger side too....though, there could be unknown reasons we never get to find out (abuse etc)....but on the surface I agree....little ott lol.

Tell me, Warden! How will the Orlesians take our land this time? Will it be invasion? Or will they simply issue their commands through this would-be Prince?

No one denies that the Blight is real! The real question is whether or not we need the Wardens to defeat it!
